According to ESPN, Varitek and the Sox will "discuss" what to do about the Joba-Youkilis "situation". What are they, the mob?
Yeh some stirke zone he had huh? I suppose at least he was consistent -but it played to the 'pitchers-duel'. Lowells one was probably inside but it was close. He was calling some dodgey low balls and was particularly lenient with the high curve I thought
I don't like throwing at guys heads(and I'm not sure he was last night unlike the other 3 times) BUT at least Boston is now seeing how it feels as it used to be the Yankee hitters who got plunked all the time and pedro did throw at some heads.
This means it would be okay if the Mets thow at Yankees batters heads because of what Clemens did to Piazza right?
I didn't say it was right and I do not agree w/ throwing at players heads BUT the Sox watched their pitchers do it for many years. I hate seeing Joba do it(although I have a hard time believeing last night was intentional but you never know) and I hope he stops. Pitch inside but not at their heads.
You never want to see fastballs at anyone's head...it's just becoming too much of a coincidence with Joba.
He plays for the Mets...AND gets to hit. Next time the Yankees play against him at Shea then take it out on him like the Mets did with Clemens when he was on the Astros.
The Mets already tried to retaliate against Clemens when he was actually a Yankee...Only thing was that Shawn Estes threw BEHIND Clemens:rofl: Anyway, I don't care if Pedro is a met. Still some of the players on each team and it was getting pathetic at how many Yankees were getting hit while Ortiz and Manny could just stand over home-plate knowing nothing will be done... All I have to say is, it's about time somebody throws at a Sox, now aiming for the head is not good, but the point is, some retribution for those many years seems like it's coming around with Joba.
piazza was a gigantic pussy as is youkilis...shut your fuckin bearded mouth and go out to the mound and let joba kick your ass....either that or shut the fuck up youkilis...the sox have hit jeter and arod a thousand times....fuck the red sox, fuck that francona and most of all.....fuck youkilis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is a vagina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! murrel admit it, youk is a homo and needs to do something or shut up about it already.......
Stupidest post of all time. He shouldn't have to "do anything", that piece of shit bitch Chamberlain should learn to stop throwing at guys heads for no reason. It's at the point now where he is easily my most hated Yankee, and I usually love all young pitchers.
thats cute that you love all young pitchers. And youre supposed to hate chamberlain dude!!!! get used to it, hes gonna be around for a looooooooong time. The bottom line is youre pissed because joba shut you guys down at fenway...he DOMINATED you! Red sox pitchers have hit yankees time and time again.....noone got hit....a little chin music my man. the way baseball is meant to be played. Bob Gibson gets praised for it. juan marichal gets praised for it...but since the new baseball fan, the gay one, kinda like you has come around all of a sudden its some forbidden practice? shaaaaadup, youkilis is a pussy!!!! did you see him waiving at the slider after joba put a scare into him? thats pitching my man......so I guess its one less young pitcher for you to love....go get your teaching job and teach your kids to play dodgeball without the ball so the fat kid doesnt feel bad....but take your gay, America-pussifying attitude outta here. Repeat after me, YOUKILIS IS A PUSSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lololololol. Now beat it.
Go fuck yourself. And learn to write at least well enough that it doesn't hurt people's eyes to read your diarrhea of letters. It has nothing to do with playing baseball, it has to do with that shithead being a petulant child and throwing 100 MPH at someones HEAD. That's possible death. Throwing inside? Fine. Even at the shoulders, fine. But he's thrown at his HEAD on three separate occasions now, and there's not even any reason for it. So shut the fuck up, because you clearly are too stupid to realize that it's wrong to intentionally endanger someone's life in a baseball game. And keep your personal attacks, as retarded as they may be, out of here.
go fuck your ugly Masshole mother, you fuckin pussy....come on, for old time's sake......repeat after me....DEVILONTHETOWNHALLROOF AND YOUKILIS ARE TWO PUSSIES.
I agree it's BS and Joba needs to stop it BUT were you ok w/ it when Pedro was doing it? I don't remember you or any Sox fans having any problems w/ it then.
I don't recall Pedro throwing directly at the same guys head on three separate occasions. He was around the shoulders a lot, and that's fine with me. Chamberlain has thrown either above, behind, or directly at the same guys HEAD three different times. For the record, Youkilis is probably my least liked Sox player, so it's not like I'm just trying to defend him. He's annoying as hell and his beard is stupid. But throwing 100 MPH at someone's head is just wrong.
Remarkable that this was written in a Boston paper. Has the whole city turned against Ramirez finally? I must admit I thought the same thing when I heard he took himself out of the lineup. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2008/07/26/now_hes_a_guaranteed_out/ "The Red Sox have had it with Manny Ramírez. Manny has punched his ticket out of town. It's over. O-VA. Adios, amigo. Good night, Irene. Turn out the lights. Last night's 1-0 loss to the Yankees (think they could have used Manny?) was the proverbial last worthless evening. Ramírez sealed his fate with the club yesterday afternoon. After longtime enabler Terry Francona filled out a lineup card with Manny batting fourth, the Sox made an announcement that Manny could not play in the biggest game of the season. Seems there were problems with his right knee. Manny was a late scratch. It was extraordinary. In the past, management and the manager would do handstands to excuse Manny's strange acts. No more. This time, the manager - apparently confident there's nothing wrong with the slugger - put Manny's name in the lineup, then sat and waited for Manny to pull himself out of the lineup. Manny complied. Never concerned with wins or losses, Manny told Brad Mills he was unable to play and took himself out of the batting order for the (thus far) biggest game of the season. It was predictable. It was ridiculous. It was the last straw."
