Not the most newsworthy post, but it is Jets related.... I was just working on a commercial with Warren Sapp, and had the opportunity to hang out with him for a while, chatting about football and retirement, that sort of stuff. He was unbelievably nice and funny, and happy to chat with anyone. When he found out I was a Jets fan, he gave me all sorts of grief. We talked about the '95 draft and I said how my brothers and I were all pulling for the Jets to pick him. He laughed and said, "yeah, how's Kyle Brady working out for you?" He went on to say that he would have loved playing in NY and NY would have loved him.
Think about it for a second. If we had Sapp there would never have been a D-Rob in a Jets uni. Now thats Damn depressing.
"WE WANT SAPP....WE WANT SAPP....." Sad when drunk guys in the audience seemed to know more than management for all those years :shit: One of my good friends is a photographer, and he did a photo shoot with Sapp a couple of years ago. My friend's not even much of a football fan, but he said Sapp was a real nice, personable guy, and real big in person.
what would have been amazing is that we also selected hugh douglas in the same draft. had they both been selected by us, we'd be talking about ny sack exchange II. heck even kotite would have won 8 games with those guys.
