http://sports.ign.com/madden09/jets.html for those too lazy heres notables Nick Mangold OVR 93 Darelle Revis OVR 88 (90 man cov 85 zone cov) Kris Jenkins OVR 92 Tony Richardson OVR 90 Thomas Jones OVR 88 Leon Washington OVR 82 Jesse Chatman OVR 80 Shaun Ellis OVR 86 Alan Faneca OVR 95 Calvin Pace OVR 87 D'Brickashaw Ferguson OVR 84 David Harris OVR 90 Eric Barton OVR 85 Pennington OVR 81 Clemens OVR 77 Kenyon Coleman OVR 87 Brandon Moore OVR 87 Vernon Gholston OVR 82 (96 morale, 85 speed, 92 accel, 87 STR 90 hit power) Kerry Rhodes OVR 96 Chris Baker OVR 80 Dustin Keller OVR 80 (89 speed 90 accel) Bubba Franks OVR 78 Damien Woody OVR 88 Coles OVR 91 Cotchery OVR 89
Leon finally getting respect for his speed. Gholston-Harris-Pace...Finally some speed in the LB core!! Keller is going to get inserted ASAP. David Clowney is in Madden 08, and he can't be on the Jets? Kenyon Coleman got a very kind rating. Switch Eric Smith to FS. Now who to start opposite Revis?
Few notes: How is TJ's morale 70, when he is the most optimistic player on this team? Lowery Has a 90 Speed- Thank You Madden... he can play CB. Combine Penny's Accuracy and Clemens' Throw Power, and you have a Pro Bowl caliber QB. Pennington's Injury Rating is a 65. Jenkins, Faneca, and Rhodes have the top 3 "importance" Rating. How True. Madden did well with this team in the Ratings.
Wow 94 speed for leon, you dont know how happy that makes me, his 91 speed was a joke... Miller 98 speed he will be my number 1 cb as I stated previously i primarily play safety, so Ill be able to watch his back if he fucks up, and I just throw " rev it up" on the number 2 and watch him dominate... I dont fuck with elam though hes trash.. My cb shart 1. miller 2. revis 3.poteat 4.barett 5.coleman Your better off starting ainge too, just as strong as clemens and more accuracy
Madden made the Jets a very good team this year. I can cope with Clemens vision since his arm strength is great, their really isn't much weakness on this team besides Elam and #2 CB. I can deal with Miller at #2 CB...But this team is pretty stacked in terms of Madden.
Is there going to be a PC version of Madden 2009? 2008 version was a total shaft - nothing like Xbox360 version, or any console version for that matter.
No, there won't be. I have to figure out what I'm going to do if I want the game, since I only have a PC.
Are they going to fix the XBOX 360 playcalling and the play by play announcing, or are we getting the shaft again which will keep me from buying this game since 2006?
it was bullshit. No Al Micheals, no John Madden and very skimpy play by play = a horseshit game. I watched my brother play it last season and I laughed when I realized that the PS2 version was so much better.
exactly- its like a cheap Chinese knockoff made by EA. Its such a ripoff. I won't buy it until the XBOX version is like the PS2. Fuck EA.
I thought you meant picking a play when you said play calling. I turn the announcers off anyway because they annoy me, so that didn't bother me. The game isn't about the play-by-play - I thought it was pretty good last year but I know I'm in the minority.
When I get Madden 09, I am gonna need to trade for that other safety spot. Who or what should I trade for a good FS? (In Madden 08, I traded my first and second for Sean Taylor.)
There is a way to trade for all the good players you want AND keep them well below the salary cap in Madden 08 - it works to perfection on PC version, but I don't know if that's the case with other versions. Simply put, you can trade away the likes of Eric Bartons for the likes of DeMarcus Ware, AND sign him for 600k/yr salary for 7 years. It's so easy to abuse Madden AI. 1st and 2nd just for Sean Taylor sounds like a complete and total ripoff to me. It doesn't matter which team I play these days - I can almost always get the player roster I want. My latest team is Green Bay. The team has: QB: Brett Favre HB1: Adrian Peterson (From Vikes) HB2: Vernand Morency (He plays FB role for me, but in HB2 spot for substitution reasons) FB: Whoever. Can't care less. Cheapest bastid works well here - or for me at least. He never hits the field. TE: Vernon Davis (49ers) WR1: Calvin Johnson (Lions) WR2: Greg Jennings (Just because WR2 is the most useless role on the field in my offense) WR3: Larry Fitzgerald (Cards) WR4: Anquan Boldin (Cards, Notice: WR3/WR4 are HEAVILY featured in my offense) LT: Marcus McNeil (Chargers) LG: Chris Dielman (Chargers) C: Nick Hardwick (Chargers) RG: Olivea (Chargers) RT: Tauscher ------------------------------------------ LE: Derrick Johnson (Chiefs) RE: A.J. Hawk DT1: Tommy Harris (Bears) DT2: Aaron Kampman LOLB: DeMarcus Ware (Cowboys) MLB: Jonathan Vilma (Jets) ROLB: Shawn Merriman (Chargers) CB1: DeAngelo Hall (Falcons) CB2: Al Harris CB3: Nathan Vasher (Bears) FS: Daniel Manning SS: Nick Collins All these players, with about 50M to spare on the salary cap to boot. I doubt if all my tricks work on other versions of Madden, but I am very sure most of them works.
