    Papelbon was just as good.

    1 IP, 1 H* 0 ER, 1 R**, 2 K

    *Bloop to right
    ** Navarro can't throw

    That was a solid hit.

And Rivera got out of his jam that shouldn't of been in that situation...Papelbum didn't, so no, not "just as good."

I don't consider it a "great job" by a closer to put runners on 1st and 3rd with one out.

yes, he got the DP, but a great job involves not allowing a runner to get to 3rd with less than 2 outs.

Great job by closers not from New York.

Whatever you say. It was a bloop into right field. The hits (multiple) off Rivera were more solid than that was. And if Navarro doesn't throw it away, the run doesn't score.

Young didn't move when the ball was hit! Kinsler was on the other side of the bag and reacted to the ball more than Young did.

Mo did a great job getting out of a jam that wasn't his fault...

    Wagner just was Wagner.

home run derby for the tiebreaker.

    Josh Hamilton vs. Ryan Howard

Is Howard at the park? If not, he better get there!

So you will blame Young for Rivera's jam, but not blame Navarro's terrible throw for the run when Papelbon pitched? Young didn't even make an error on that play.

If Michael Young has some sort of sense of urgency, Mo isn't in his situation...

Mo got out of it though, while Paps didn't...That simple, the great ones get out of jams not even created by them:smile:

13th inning coming up, looks like they may have to end this in a shootout.

doesn't the NL still have Kerry Wood?

    Screw Marmol.

    Use Wood and save Lidge.

Since no more Yankees are left, I'm just going to root for this game to last as long as possible.
