If I had Boomer's e-mail address I'd send him this. I'm pretty sure this was that game. :breakdance: The original Road Grater.
Yes, passing the time during a 4-12 regular season gets much tougher. We all turn on each other eventually.
It WAS that game. I'm sure he has an e-mail address at WFAN.com, if not I'm sure Carton would like it:smile:
Awesome pics! I remember both those guys. Herman did the radio with Marty Glickman when I was a kid, Randy was still on the team. He's the only guy to play in both Super Bowl III and the 1981 Wild Card Game as a Jet.
#65 Sam DeLuca a great color announcer for the Jets for years, was fired for telling the truth...the Jets stunk!
If it weren't for Mike Webster, Fields would have been a Pro Bowler just about every year. The book he wrote with Joe Klecko, "Nose to Nose", is a good read for any 80s Jet fan. Look at that minimal face mask for a center, that's what the WRs wear nowadays, without the bar down the middle.
i cannot wait til the season starts im so pumped, lets go jets and lets hope that D reaches its potential
Yes. I couldn't find a Bingham(#65 in a Falcons uni doesn't count:smileor a Trevor Matich and I leave the pre 80s guys for you.
He is wearing green in the picture, that counts. Never heard of him. Look at the young OJ, he was probably only committing misdemeanors back then.
Anyone got pictures of the stadium, which I can use for my site: stadiumzone. net I'm going to make a big NFL section, but it's hard to find high quality pictures of the stadium. Thanks for the help guys.
