Apparently he'd like to play with a coach he knows. That makes the Jets a target. Truth and Rumors has more... Cornerback Ty Law could have done what has come naturally over 13 NFL seasons. Much like he's jumped a pass pattern to corral an interception, Law could have made a quick move earlier this offseason. Instead, he's dropped back and assessed the action in front of him. Law visited the Jets, and has had phone discussions with Bill Belichick in New England and Romeo Crennel in Cleveland. The Browns would seemingly be the perfect landing spot. But general manager Phil Savage has said the Browns don't have much room in their budget. Of course, that could always change if the team gets to training camp and realizes a cornerback of Law's ilk might indeed be the final piece to make a legitimate run at the AFC championship. So, for now, Law waits and works out. ----------------------------------------- So, is Mr. Pass Interference coming back? He'll have to do laps in TC.
Only if he's required to come to practice and not go hang out with his Patriot buddies during the week.
he is better than the #2 cb we have now, and knows the mangini defence, remember when he was here he was in herms 4-3 cover 2 shit
Who cares so long as we can fit him under the cap - give him a 1 year deal. I think he'd definitely be better than anyone they're considering putting opposite of Rhodes right now. His ball skills are still very good and he's always had a nose for the ball.
Depending on his attitude, Law wouldn't be a bad choice to bring in with a one year deal. He could help ease Miller into the starting lineup, while teaching him and Revis some of the tricks of the trade only an older veteran knows. But he'd have to come at a reasonable price, and he'd have to come in with a good attitude.
We are rebuilding lets continue to do that and not let some Fat Cb who's heart is in New England come and con us for one last payday.
we are not rebuilding were re-tooling, do you think trading away two picks for k.jenkins and signing 32 yr old fanneca is rebuilding? also, i'll take another 10 int season from a con man
When you trade away 2 first round players in one season for a scheme change and you take a 4-12 season because of mismatched personnel during a regime transition, and you bench your franchise QB for a year 2 guy, you are probably rebuilding. When you continue to trade away draft picks during that process, you are lessening the chances of that rebuild to be effective.
whenever you have the expectations we do, [to me its at least the playoffs] then you cant be rebuilding
Teams always try to compete while they are rebuilding. Your statement makes zero sense. This is year three. They better have some expectations by this time.
what do the dolphfags, raiders, chiefs, rams, ravens, 49ers all have in common? there REBUILDING, are you gonna tell me they got a legitamite shot at the playoffs? from what your saying every team is rebuilding, and of course every team, every season rebuilding or not you try to win
dude...you don't spend over 100 million on FA acquisitions and not have any expectations.....especially when you have an owner who is notorious for "penny-pinching" in the past.
