1,000 for an upper deck seat? Jets better do that.

Now we are going to see just whether or not we are second class citizens. I predict the Jets will have to offer tickets and PSL at lower prices than the Giants to fill the stadium.

Can you imagine if the Jets made the PSL's more expensive? More expensive than a team that just won the Super Bowl. There would be a HUGE outcry from jet fans, it would be terrible.

Good, I hope so. That makes us second class citizens? How?

The best thing that happened to the Jets was the Giants winning the SB. This team can't afford to suck this season. Nothing embarasses an owner more than not making the same coin on the exact same product. We have a highly motivated owner for the first time in years.

The NFL and NFL owners have had a free ride with growing demand and unending pricing power. Companies in the metro area are not about to pay top dollar for a second tier product when they are laying off thousands of workers. This might be a very good thing for the Jets season ticket holders and a very bad thing for the Giants ticket holders. The press however won't be so kind.

Brilliant move by the Giants. They leaked that the Jets would charge $35K max for PSL's (even though it's not true), then release that they're charging $20K max, and their fans are relieved.

Things are about to get interesting. Dare Woody go higher than the Gin'ts? He would quickly be the most hated team owner in the league. That 4-12 season really f-ed things up for the greedy bastards at the top.

Never the less, they know they will fill those seats and in a couple of years everyone will have forgotten about the PSL and they will raise the ticket prices again.

I've got 2 seats in 313 and if the PSL is $1000/seat then I've got some thinking to do. I assumed they would be at least $2000.00 a seat and I would not have considered it. Then again, I dont know what they will do to season ticket holders seats/section choice. I may be screwed anyway.

What's sad about this is that in both teams letters they say words alluding to the fact that the stadium cost 1.6 billion so they have to charge PSL's.....but they don't mention that the teams are SPLITTING the cost. 800 million is kind of a steal for a stadium for an NFL team. Everyone knows they are splitting the cost, but they don't say it that way to try and justify the fact that they want to make all the money back in year ONE......which is kind of a disgrace.

I would take $1000 PSLs, especially if they were transferrable.

exactly...funny how they keep leaving that part out and reinforcing how it's the most costly privately financed stadium...yad yada yada.........not to mention the portion of aid they get from the league

Obviously the $1,000 PSLs are for the lousiest seats and climb upward from there. I don't know, this is all really starting to smell to high heaven.

You're screwed any way you look at it. If you want a better seat, you'll have to pay a higher PSL than $1,000. How much of a better seat depends on the size of your wallet and your inclination (or stupidity) to tie up cash in this worthless "investment."

It's criminal that these 2 teams will charge for PSL's. Neither team is playing in NYC, they are sharing costs, getting double money from the league and yet they will pass along these PSL's to the fans? It's criminal.

Someone just mentioned to me that the Giants released their PSL plan so I hopped over here to see the details. Been too busy to post lately, but lo and behold my first post in sometime and I one hundred percent agree with Junc (surely a first ). It is absolutely criminal that they keep touting this 1.6 billion dollars when in reality each team is only paying half. Couple that with the advertising money they are getting for each of the four corners, the additional naming rights revenue, all on top of the money procured from the league and it is a joke. Not to mention all of the new luxury boxes in the new stadium which will also generate much more revenue; absolutely no fan loyalty at all. But what did I expect, I'm only a twenty year season ticket holder that has been lining the pockets of these owners for years....

You could be right, but I care more about Jets season ticket holders (ie me) than what the press says. Mostly I care about us winning games and me being there to see it. If Giants fans have to pay more for the same thing, it serves them right for being pompous assholes for all these decades. Won't bother me a bit.

You only own the seat for the game, nothing else.

My seats will likely be in the $20,000 section. No way in hell I could ever afford that. I guess I'll be getting stuck with upper deck seats. Its a shame since my family has had the seats since the Jets became the Jets. Money > Loyalty.
