2009 draft. Jets have as good a chance, as anyone, to have that first pick next year. What are the players you think could start to get this franchise turned around. Any thoughts?

We will go for a 400 lbs, 300 yard throwing, unsackable, mainguesque but better Franchise QB, who will get us 10 wins the following season.

Comeon be serious. Jets have their Tom Brady already. HIs name is kellen Clemens. Jets defintely won't be taking a Qb next year or for the next decade. I could see the best LT prospect in the draft.

So you've gone from ranting and raving and being good target practice for arguments and the such to pure, unadulterated trolling of the board? Why?

I'm embarrassed to know you exist behind that moniker, because I'm affiliated with you through this board. Go away Jeaux, if you can find a Raiders board that hasn't banned you for good.

Im on the record saying the Jets could be one of the worst teams in football.(again thats my opinion and it hasn't changed) All Im going to say I can't wait till the football season starts because the Jets fans expectations, are so unreasonable. Can't wait till I say I told you so. Its laughable that anyone would think this team can fight for a playoff spot.(Its not that good and has so many holes)
With the first pick in 2009 draft the New York Jets select ................ You tell me who?

BS, you don't want to say anything that I can use against you after the season. Jets are as bad as I think, you can say the expectations were never there for Jets in 2008. (You knew with this moves this offseason , it takes time to build chemistry) So comeon whre will the Jets be picking.

Man im relatively new to this site, but one thing im starting to notice is that joe or jeaux, is good for at least one ridiculous post a week where he gets completely slammed.

That being said there is no way we pick first in next years draft... The Jets are way better on paper than they were last year and u have to remember they were in almost every game they lost until the end, except for the opener against the pats.

With a new retooled o line and personnel much better suited for the 3-4 we are going to win more games.

All in all its hard to say what could happen over the course of a football season.. Needs change and injuries happen, and people have breakout years. So its almost impossible to tell who the jets would be targeting in next years draft...

Tell me one team that won less than 5 games in 2007, that didn't look like they improved alot on paper. Thats a silly statement. The more important question did Jets do enough this offseason to be one of the top AFC teams(make the playoffs) Jets have really no depth anywhere. Your not that deep at alot of positions, and its not unrealistic that you could very well have the first pick in 2009 draft. Football is a contact sport, and you are going to have injuries.

Wrong again Jeaux, this thread simply isn?t worth posting anything footballrelated in it. If you would be right, you can tell 99.99% of this Board "I told you so!", me included.

Man joe you got some serious blinders on. I dont remember ever saying injuries wont happen...

I think your just too hard headed to even see a good point when one is in print right in front of you. When did the words ON PAPER ever appear in my post. Talent wise the jets are better than last year and also scheme wise, hence the better fits for the 3-4.

On paper is just a phrase in your head you like to use to make yourself feel better knowing that on paper the Raiders still suck... Nothing silly in that statement thats the truth.

The Miami Dolphins talent wise, aren't alot better this year than last year. Jets scheme wise are better? How do we know this. Kris Jenkins never played in a 3-4 defense. For all we know Calvin Pace could be B Thomas( had one decent year in contract year) Jets pass rusher IE OLB going to get a consistant pass rush, (even a talent like Gholston going to need some help) Justin Miller your number 2 CB- enough said.

Jets Oline going to be effective in the runninmg and passing game. We know this How.
Jets still have either Pennington or Clemens as their QB. (that scary)
You get the point. Your hoping these moves you made make a diffrence. In reality you don't know if that will be the case.

In reality, you don't know if the raiders are worth the paper used to print their contracts on. McFadden hasn't done anything on the field, the OL is still suspect in the pass blocking scheme and the de...screw it, this is a trash talking thread anyway so here goes the real comments:

Jamarcus Russell is a fat load, McFadden is an ankle injury waiting to happen and Lane Kiffin is taking orders from a senile old crank who probably thinks his cat is his telephone.
