What are you basing this on? What some shill beat reporter in Oakland fed you? Strongest arm in the universe, right? God, I love to watch your spirit break year after year, jeaux. Your tears are like expensive champagne.

I bet my life that most PROVEN wideouts would go to New York. Drew Carter and Chaz Schilens are not proven receivers, so don't bring them up...like you always do. Javon Walker signed for the money, not becuase of JaMarcus Russell.

New York actually has a somewhat of a chance to make a playoff run this season. Unless that golden play action toss to McFadden that you always talk about works EVERY play, Oakland will be at the bottom of the league...as usual.

WRs don't want to play on a consistently bad team that has an unproven QB, playing behind an offensive line that can't block for him.

Listen Im not calling Chris simms a savior for my franchise. Raiders have their starting QB in Jamarcus Russell. Chris Simms came to the Jets he have a very strong chance to be Jets starting QB, he wouldn't have that oppurtunity with the raiders.

That pretty much sums up how lousy your Qb situation is. Open your eyes.

BTW- Jets have no chance at a playoff run, thats only in your little mind. Also Chaz Schilens was a raider draft choice.

No one here is calling Chris Simms a "savior" either. Some just think he should be brought in to compete.

You are the one saying that "your" quarterback JaMarcus Russell is better than Peyton Manning.

BTW: Have run watching Russell and McFadden turn into huge busts.

No correct me if Im wrong, you said Chris Simms could win the Jets starting QB job. YEs Or No.
NOw we will just wait to see what Mcfadden and Russell are all about. At this point, really could careless what you think. Both Russell and Mcfadden have the potential to be frranchise Qb and RB. You have T Jones on his last legs, carrying the mantle for your franchsie. And I already discussed your pathetic Qb situation.

Yes, considering Russel is being paid more than 92% of QBs playing in the NFL, he is going to start over anyone... it has nothing to do with talent at this point.

Same said in 06. I believe we were predicted to win 3 games and have a run at the Russel/Quinn contest... we made the playoffs.

You have overrated the 7th round pick of your team's draft before he has started TC.... Stuckey was a 7th rounder, and only the Pre-season games he played do we base his potential to maybe be at the most a #3 WR.

Schilens has a better chance of being cut than starting... another reason of why you are a grain of salt, jeaux.

Does that sound like he see Simms competing for a backup job with Jets. No but a starting job.

Make no mistake Jets talent was at best a five win team in 2006. Jets did supprise everyone in 2006. Very weak schedule that year, and alot OF little Martys gimmicks worked very well. (reason why he was in high demand around the league)
Well what happened in 2007 . Those gimmicks on offense everyone had a pretty good idea what was going to happen. Little Marty reputation took a big hit, and he now has Bill Callahan looking over his shoulder.

NOw on to schilens- probably at least two years away from paying dividends for the Raiders. Again he has the measurables you can't teach 6'4 225 sub 4.4 speed and 43 inch vertical jump. James Lofton job is to develope this kid. Schilens will either make Raiders roster or gert a mysterious injury and find his way to IR.

Raiders have their WRs. # 1 javon Walker 2. R Curry and #3 Drew carter Todd watkins is another guy to watch this year than the other young wrs.

See IF your Marcus Henry type- they just cut you because you don't have the athlethic ability to compete on the prolevel. IN Schilens case they hide you on IR- because like I said there is alot to work with there. (you don't want to lose a talent like that)

Sorry, but the Patriots already ruined your idea of hiding players on the IR. That practice will be a no-no after 2007.

NO when your ON IR your not allowed to practice/go to meetings with the team. The Patriots IR players were practicing with the team. (gaining an unfair advantage ) Every team hides players on IR. Nfl isn't going to change that, they just might make teams submit tapes of their practices to the league. (make sure they are following the rule) JUst like after the third preseason game, teams must submit the gamefilm to the league. (anyteam can look at that film)

The NFL instituted surprise inspections of lockerrooms based on nothing but speculation about their shady practices with the visiting lockerroom. Now that there is talk from multiple sources about their mis-use of the IR ranks, don't be surprised if all aspects, including the legitimacy of the IR claim, are placed under a microscope.

Well let me let you in, on a little secret. There is no test that can confirm or deny that a person has a bad back. NFl can't stop The IR practice of hiding players. What they can do is come up with ways to make sure that those injured players are not practice or going to meetings with that team.

What they can do is fine teams draft picks for violating rules, and most intelligent teams covet draft picks. That will keep teams on the alert and they will bend fewer rules than they would if the rules were lax.

And jeaux, the only little secrets you know involve how to mesh metallic and solid-based face paints, and also how to make Alpo taste like Chunky beef stew if you hold your nose the right way, so spare me the caveman Yoda act.

end of July.. which means if the Jets were to sign him, he'd be a backup until week7 to learn the offense. Ours isn't as complicated as Gruden's.
