That's pretty cool, although at first I didn't understand why the girl in the leather jacket and sunglasses was part of the construction cam.

I like how the puddle on the lower left suddenly appeared on February 1 and has never quite gone away since then.

Has anyone clicked on the 'stream time-lapse movie' link? There's a load of cars and people whizzing around like ants... and absolutely nothing happens. It's actually quite funny. At that rate the stadium will be ready in about 2045.

It does not look like the Stadium has progressed much since the beginning of the year. W/ the new baseball Stadiums the progress was noticeable every few weeks or so.

There are also new pics, here are some of the latest.

Actually they've gotten pretty far since the last Jet game, which is almost six months ago. There was barely any structure up at that time, just a little bit in the top, left corner by the current stadium.

I will be very happy the day we're not playing in someone else's stadium with someone else's colors, covered up in green drapes with the blue wall still showing through.

This one won't be red and blue, and it be called Giants Stadium.

And it will have a five-star restaurant.

You are aware that all football stadiums have to be the same general shape?

I still wish they would have left an open corner or something so you could see the skyline from inside the stadium, that would be awesome. In New England, Pittsburgh and even Philadelphia they did that and you can see the scenery, I think Denver too.

Trees and rain, the fall colors are nice. They keep the cameras hidden though.

    Quite.

Had Giants Stadium got so bad so it's worth spending hundreds of millions to build a new one just feet away from it?

I mean, bringing the Jets home to New York I could understand and I was totally behind that. But a slightly bigger stadium in exactly the same place... isn't this a waste of money?

We're all there to watch football, but there are a lot of breaks and stoppages in the action. A 60 minute game lasts 3-1/2 hours. It's not a big deal, but would certainly add to the asthetics of the stadium. Building an exact replica of Giants Stadium with fancy shit built in doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
