I would be happy with a home playoff game. But perhaps I should be aiming higher :)

Meanwhile, I will try to count up wins in a bit. The danger in that activity...especially in June...is that we really don't have much of an idea about who's going to be good and who's going to be bad. Remember, the Giants were supposed to stink last year, and after they started 0-2 (right?), people were making all kinds of doom and gloom proclamations. We know the Pats will likely be good and so will Indy, but other than that, who fargin' knows?

if tom brady broke his hand on pace's helmet week 1 that would mean either brady would be traded to the dolphins, or pace was traded to whoever the pats play.. other then that, i wouldnt hold my breath for brady breaking his hand on pace's helmet until week 2

Well my mailer finally arrived. My 1st comment is what "tradition" is Woody alluding to? Having a losing record since merger of the AFL-NFL? Never winning a AFC championship since merger? Never winning a SB since merger? IMHO that was a most interesting choice of words. All the rest of was just window dressing like a 5 star eatery, a zillion concession stands, more restrooms, etc. Notice he made no allusions to improvements in the sight lines which means there are either none or they will be worse then the current stadium.

Concerning the PSLs if you carefully read Cimini's blog he says for sure there will be. Now I do not know where he gets that info from but it is now in print

The five-star restaurant thing is pretty fucking stupid. Most people who go there cook their own food and wear football jerseys, who's combining a five-star restaurant with a football game?

It really does show you the crowd they are pandering to, who aren't Jet fans. The 100 year-old fossils at the Giants games will probably be more into that. Jet fans will be like Jake and Elwood Blues in Mr. Fabulous' place in the Blues Brothers.

I think you are not looking forward enough. They are expecting the hoi polloi to entertain there guests for dinner before or after the game. You know a few drinks & a $50.00 steak per guest charge or something like that. I'm sure since the NYGs approved the eatery as well they to are expecting the same type crowd.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But after the novelty of the new place wears off and we're going through another 4-12 season five years later, guess who is going to buy up all the prepaid tickets at bargain prices? When it's 35 degrees and rainy in November and we're 2-8? The Jet fan with the jersey and charcoal grill that wants to go to the game.

Nah sorry I disagree since the companies will be buying PSLs & then season tix just as we do now. They will be giving those out as perks to there customers so once they give the tix to the clients then they are done with them & they think theyhave done a good thing in their clients eyes who will favor them with more biz

Right, but when whoever is holding the tickets realizes they don't want to go that week, they will likely sell them to people cheap instead of eating them. You can post them on StubHub or whatever and the market determines how much they are worth. Similar to what we have now, except they will be out more money up front. A ticket to a cold 2-8 Jet game isn't going to be much more coveted then than it is now. I'm talking a few years down the road, not when the place first opens and everyone wants to go.

Right but remember they got the tix for FREE from some company so even if they sell them at half price they are way ahead no matter what they charge. Probably the way it will be setup is the company will be given vouchers to the eatery so they can sell the tix pocket some xtra cashola have a 5 star lunch or dinner & be on there way. You know impress there girl friend or family. That would be win/win for the person who got the tix from company

All different scenarios, but even if they got the tickets free and could make $20 or 40 off them, why not? Fans will find their way in eventually, which is my point. I'm sure if you put a nice restaurant in somebody out of 80,000 is going to go there, but it's not a fit with the majority of paying customers. People are still going to tailgate.

Whose said they will not? All I am saying is that the hoi polloi will utlize it as it will become somewhat of a "status" symbol. Similar to the status that "Windows on the World" had. I am sure Woody is banking on many, many T/gaters chucking there tix into the pool once the PSLs are formally announced which is the reason for the eatery. It is also a place for the "beautiful" people to be seen which I am sure you know what I mean

I'm sure my boss will be in the 5* restaurant. He might even take me some day. There are people that will love it. They will also be happy when the ticket prices go up so they can brag about how exclusive they are.

I would much rather cook my own food and drink my own beer.

The Mets got me to drop my tickets when they started the platinum, gold and silver ticket pricing when they tin foil, cardboard and paper results. I feel the day that I will give up my football tickets is coming.
