I don't know if you guys have checked out the dirt sheet yet with Miz and Morrison but they are hilarious. Seriously Morrison might be the brightest star of the future in the company.
SERIOUS INJURY AT ONE NIGHT STAND By: Bob Ryder 6/1/2008 10:06:52 PM Randy Orton suffered what appeared to be a collarbone injury during his "Last Man Standing" match at WWE's "One Night Stand" pay-per-view. Orton was thrown over the top rope to the floor and landed awkwardly on his shoulder. The collarbone was noticably out of place and appeared to be broken or dislocated. Replay showed that Orton caught his foot on the rope as he was going over the top causing him to land on the side of his shoulder. After the injury, the match continued for a couple of minutes before Triple H hit Orton with the sledge hammer to keep him down for the 10 count. Orton was attended to at ringside by WWE medical staff and will almost certainly be going to a local hospital for treatment.
I know HHH doesn't wanna do it, but it'd be f*n awesome if he turned heel with the title, now that Orton's out of the picture... Oh, and there's the draft coming up, so I'm sure even if they don't go that route, they'll find some sort of heel to bring to RAW... Personally, I think Edge is much better suited for RAW than Smackdown, and Cena is better suited for Smackdown.. I'd love to see them pull a switcharoo... In other news... Just finished reading about One Night Stand.... Jeff Hardy is f'n crazy! Swanton Bomb off of a truck on pavement?! God damn!
This asshole better not get out of jail. I'm sick of seeing people not do rightful time because of who they are or who they are related to.
I hear that the Million Dollar giveaway starts tonight. There's going to be a code at the beginning of Raw, you have to register on WWE.com, and McMahon will call the winner live on Raw.
HHH is a Stone Cold heel. no matter how hard WWE could push him that way he'll still great a great pop. Too bad Orton's out of commission, but you guys are overlooking Umaga. Guys a beast.
It wasn't impressive, the camera angles hid it and you could see the crash mat in the back ground after the pin.
WWE chairman promotes `Raw? with $1M giveaway By DERRIK J. LANG, AP Entertainment Writer 10 hours, 13 minutes ago Buzz Up PrintLOS ANGELES (AP)?Wrestling fans eager to get their hands on Vince McMahon?s money will have to jump through a few hoops first. The World Wrestling Entertainment chairman announced during last week?s ?Monday Night Raw? that he would give away $1 million of his own wealth to viewers, but he didn?t specify when or how it would be distributed. The cash will be given away as part of a lengthy promotional sweepstakes, McMahon and the WWE told The Associated Press. For a chance to win $1 million each week for the foreseeable future, viewers must pre-register on WWE.com and then watch the beginning of ?Raw? each week to receive a special code, which viewers must tell McMahon if he calls them during the live broadcast. The code will change each week of the promotion and will not be revealed until the beginning of each episode. ?People can view this as my own version of an economic stimulus plan to benefit our viewers,? McMahon told the AP. While the USA Network series continues to be one of the most watched shows on cable TV, its ratings have recently declined. Last Monday?s episode received the lowest ratings for a Memorial Day broadcast in five years, according to Nielsen Media Research. McMahon said his goal with the giveaway, which begins June 9, is to reward loyal ?Raw? fans and draw new and former viewers back to the show. USA is owned by General Electric Co.?s NBC Universal. Hey, check out Big Show's eye, now that's a sick looking injury. http://www.wwe.com/shows/onenightstand/photos/bigshow/ Slideshow from WWE.com
Picture #14 is really sick. Too bad about Orton, but I seem to remember him hurting his shoulder or collarbone once or twice before.
The rating barely moved, from a 2.9 to a 3.1. I think it's funny they're so confused as to what they should do to increase interest and improve the ratings, yet it's so painfully obvious. The entire reason Raw became a live show is to get an "anything can happen" feel. When was the last time a major star turned face or heel during a match or segment on Raw out of nowhere? The only time a wrestler changes his alignment, it's a long term process that's not exciting. When was the last time the WWE title changed hands on Raw? It used to happen all the time, now, not only does it not happen on Raw, it happens only once or twice a year on PPV. Just be more exciting. Nothing is exciting about wrestling, it's all long storylines. No shock value. No title changes. It's boring.
They need to do something. I'm sick and tired of seeing Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga week in and week out. The predictability of when a face is fighting a "replacement" or just some heel making a match always ends up being Umaga. It's so stupid. EDIT: Wow, those Big Show pictures from the day after are fucking ridiculous.
