Jurrjens, only Brave:wink: We both felt the wrath of Albert the destroyer with C. Young. Here's my draft: 1. (1) ?lex Rodr?guez 3B 2. (16) Chase Utley 2B 3. (17) Carlos Guill?n 1B,3B,SS 4. (32) Dan Haren SP 5. (33) Ichiro Suzuki OF 6. (48) B.J. Upton 2B,OF 7. (49) Chris Young SP 8. (64) Brian McCann C 9. (65) Jeff Francoeur OF 10. (80) Rafael Furcal SS 11. (81) Derrek Lee 1B 12. (145) Alex Gordon 1B,3B 20. (160) Pl?cido Polanco 2B 21. (161) Jon Garland SP Wow! I got Hamilton in the 14th round. Guillen was a pretty bad pick, I thought the Tigers were going to be better. Here's my team now, I realized that I needed to get pitching instead of having 2nd stringers in case guys had days off. C Brian McCann (Atl - C) 1B Derrek Lee (ChC - 1B) 2B Chase Utley (Phi - 2B) 3B ?lex Rodr?guez (NYY - 3B) SS Carlos Guill?n (Det - 1B,3B,SS) OF Josh Hamilton (Tex - OF) OF Jeff Francoeur (Atl - OF) OF Ichiro Suzuki (Sea - OF) Util Carlos Quentin (CWS - OF) DL Rafael Furcal (LAD - SS) SP Shaun Marcum(Tor - SP,RP) SP Dan Haren (Ari - SP) RP Francisco Cordero (Cin - RP) RP Joba Chamberlain (NYY - RP) P Brad Lidge (Phi - RP) P Brandon Lyon (Ari - RP) P Takashi Saito (LAD - RP) BN Cliff Lee (Cle - SP) BN Ted Lilly (ChC - SP) BN Tim Redding (Was -SP) BN Joe Saunders (LAA -SP) BN Jesse Litsch (Tor - SP)
That's only an 8-team league, though. I don't know where he went in my league. I'll have to look it up. Jurrjens is a guy I picked up off the waiver wire. I very rarely ever have Braves on my team.
asuming LT, AD, Steven Jackson, Westbrook, Addai, Brady, and Moss are gone. I?d Target Guys like Portis, Barber, Gore, Lynch, McGahee, LJ, TO or Wayne or Grant. I?d try to get a workhorse, who is most relieable, that means McGahee, if he?s gone Lynch, Gore or Grant. The 2nd pick is a little bit tougher, but i think you can get a good #1 WR at the end of the 3rd, someone like Boldin, Steve Smith, Ocho Cinco, Hold, Roy Williams or Brandon Marshall. And i don?t trust Romo, yet. I think he?ll have a good year, but can?t repeat his 2007 campain, and you?ll be better served with a QB in the 5th or 6th (McNabb, Big Ben, Anderson, Bulger). So I?d pick another RB with the 2nd pick. I?d take Barber.
Oops, yeah. We had a live draft with a bunch of my buds from college Yeah, that was my point. I don't get Mets if I can help it. Just the way it works I guess, haha.
Yeah, and this is why I'm one game under .500 right now. 57-58-11 is the record. I'm right in the middle of the pack. I'm 8 games out of 1st and 8 games from the cellar.
If Marshawn Lynch can clear up his troubles off the field before August, I may target Lynch and Portis at 10 & 11...I still want an elite QB though. Every year I have made it to the championship game...I have also had an elite QB on my roster. I don't see what is wrong with grabbing Peyton Manning or Tony Romo with the 10th pick and then grabbing the best RB available...Clinton Portis? Then with the 3rd and 4th round picks grab another RB and a #1WR...RB's like Michael Turner, Ronnie Brown, Fred Taylor and Jones Drew will probably be there.
