wow nice job. really surprised at the damien woody rating. 88 seems a little high. i think the kellen clemens rating is a little low, or the erik ainge rating is too high. I don't think only 3 points should be separating them. Bryan Thomas absolutely plummeted, wow.
I agree I think something is wrong with the Clemmens/Ainge rating, there should be more than a 3 point separation. Also does anybody else wonder why our depth chart has BT as the backup at only one OLB spot? and Chatam as the other? that would scare me silly. or what about Poteat as a 79 backing up Barret (the 75)? Also I am interested in the ratings as a whole, I want to see Dwight Lowery's. Then I am curious about the ratings of those top picks for other squads, say Matt Ryan Jake Long, Chris Long, Glenn Dorsey, Mcfadden, and the other top stars. Plus I can't wait to see who is rated higher Ryan or Jake Long, with Ryan being the obviously top paid guy with a 70 million dollar deal, and Jake Long being the top pick, it will be interesting to see how those ratings go...
PastaPadre has his own website now? Good for him, I knew him years ago when we played in the same Madden League together.
The reason higher rated guys wind up backing up lower rated guys is for 2 reasons: (1) even though a guy has a higher overall rating, he may have certain attributes that make him better at a position (bad example but, for instance, if poteat is a really good passer in the game) and (2) that is what the Madden creaters think the actual line-up is going to be (so, basically, they are saying that Mangini will make a mistake and start the lesser Barrett over the better Poteat).
D' Brick gets the blame for Adrien Clarke's missed assignments. That sucks. Except for QB, the starters are well rated. If you simulated the season I'd bet they'd win 9 games with a healthy team. Kwame Harris is a 78 for the Raiders LT... pretty accurate.
i dont think these are totally right. IGN is releasing the madden ratings. They did NFC East and some of the ratings are off compared to the images on this site.
Jets ratings look accurate for once but check the other teams. I don't think the Giants have a player on their O-Line rated below 90 and Eli is a 93, talk about way overrated.
the line deserves it, they are a great line. They are really underrated, and not popular enough for a pro bowl nod. Eli's 93 comes from the playoffs and playoffs only, Madden is banking on him being that way next year.
Man that's bad for Chad eh, but I guess he's earned it.....we're not very good overall, but better than last year. Brick should be more like an 87 though...I think he went down from last year.
Wait for Week 5's first roster update. We'll see how they rate the Jets then... It will depend on this team's success, but if the Jets are 4-1 or 3-2, the ratings will go up a lot.
I'm happy the team seems to be rated highly this year, so they'll be fun to play with... That being said... Either Madden is getting more generous overall with their ratings, or we are WAY overrated this year... Both rookies with an 80+ rating? Are they serious? K. Coleman an 87?!? Should be a 78... Moore an 87 and Woody an 88? I'd give them both ratings from 78-82... Mangold should be from 85-89... Harris as a 90 after 1/2 a season as a starter is a little high.... They'll be fun to play with though...
http://www.sportsgamer.com/content/1622/madden-09-cornerback-ratings/ Dwight Lowery's can be found there. He has THE highest catch rating of all the rookie cb's...but also one of the worst man cover ratings as well. Still, I have a tendency to start young guys in my franchise so he'll get the nod in mine.
Everyone is STACKED. I remember when anything above an 80 is pretty acceptable....you can move that benchmark up to 85 now since EVERY team seems to have a decent roster.
