I'm not sure, it may be better for the franchise in the long run if they play badly enough to force a change rather then skating along like they have been.

 

The good thing in this instance is that after that collapse last year even mediocrity will get the ball rolling

 

It's a good thing that Pelfrey "fell" to us in the draft or we would've ended up with Jay Bruce.

 

Pelfrey is a reliever and it is too early to comment on Bruce.

Although our drafts have truly been dreadful

 

Pelfrey is an asshole with 1 pitch. Bruce has torn it up at every level he's played at. The only reason Bruce didn't get called up until yesterday is because the Reds are cheap pricks and wanted to avoid the Super Two clause.

 

While I agree that Bruce will probably be 100x better than Pelfrey, Bruce hasn't done anything in the majors yet.

 

Pelfrey has twice the amount of wins as Kennedy and Hughes put together.

But he is an "asshole"?

 

Maybe I shouldn't have made a judgement on his personality. How about this, he's a terrible pitcher who's only on the roster because of where he was drafted.

 

He won't be on the roster for long, I'd give it a week barring anything fluky happening
