I've never understood why once a player is off the team you can't wear the jersey anymore to some people. I remember almost getting into a fist fight with some asshole at a game because I wore a Vinny jersey and the guy was yelling at me about how Pennington was the starter now... so what? The whole point of wearing a jersey is that it is either predominantly green and white or white and green. What does it matter if the guy is no longer on the team, the point is that it is a sign of support for cheering your team on. This is a personal peeve of mine because there are a lot of people (myself obviously one of them) that doesn't have the $80 to spend every time some player moves to a different team. The people that give other fans shit for that kind of thing just bothers me. Vinny isn't the starter really? Okay jackass tell you what, if it bothers you so much that I have an "outdated" jersey on how about you front the money for me to buy a new one? Sound good? /rant off

I only own 1 jerseys it #28. I got my fav player so I could wear it forever. Some players you can wear like vilma because he left on good terms. Plus you never know when a player might comeback
I have my Vilma jerseys in my closet, I wear my black one every once in a while, but nothing major. I have a Pennington that I put those black SNY stickers they gave away at the Redskins game on it, making the 0's 1's for Clemens and crossed out the name.
Well i would say burn them but i made that mistake with an arod jersey and lets just say it hasnt worked out to be in my favor so just hang it up and buy a new one, I got my dbrick one last year, hopefully im in the clear with that one
If I burned them I wouldn't have a single jersey left. That includes #12 Joe Willie, #7 a signed Boomer with the 75 year patch (given to me by the Green Guy at my 75 bash in Vegas), Chrebet and 2 # 51's for Cox and Vilma. I tend to alternate the 51's when we need D and the O ones when Penny isn't hitting WR's. Dorothy is almost as bad with a green #16 for Vinny and a white #19 for Key. At least she has a current white Penny. These players gave their all when in Green and why should we desert them now! It makes no sense from a fan or economical point of view.
Wear them or pack them away. Don't get rid of them, they are part of the team's history, even pathetic as it is at times.
I saw about 6 Vilma jerseys tonight at the Madden launch. A few Pennington (almost understandable). 2 or 3 Jets Favre (home and away) and 4 Green Bay Farvre Jersey's.

I was at a garage sale on sunday and they had 2 kid size jersey's 5 bucks a piece, a Moss and a Martin. I thought about the Martin, but ended up not buying it.:martin:
