So now I am stuck with my authentic Vilma and have no idea what to do. I could get it re-stitched, but the places around here say it will cost like 80 bucks just to change the 1 to a 2 and switch the name. That's ridiculous....

I saw a Bills fan change McGahee to McGee with some white hockey tape, and becuase McGee's number is 20, he just made the 21 into 20 with tape as well.....

Yeah, that's the buffalo style for sure, but a hell of a lot better than paying 80 bucks....although to me the only other option is not wearing it any more...

    Wear them.

I said it before, I only get players jersey's once they leave the team, because they're mad cheap that way. Besides, all players are going to leave the team eventually, you know that when you buy the shirt. What really matters is the green and white.

Depends on who they are, my Chrebet and Martin Jerseys are priceless.

My Vilma jersey, i use it to wash my car, right a long with the Dan Marino jersey I own.

I don't like buying jerseys of current players [exception would be Mangold], I'd rather spend the money on a throwback.

Yeah, I got a Vilma jersey too. I'm still gonna wear it around the house on gameday and put it into rotation with my soon-to-be-purchased white/green Rhodes, and green/white Revis.

I also rock the jerseys to work on Mondays when they win. One of my supervisors is a Pats fan, and I can't wait til I wear a Monday jersey the Sunday after we play the Patriots.

i used to get 2 jersey every year. 1 current 1 throwback
    01 abraham
    02 coles
    03 cowart
    04 mcareins
    05 vilma
06 i stopped buying them and i think you can see why
mccareins and vilma where both authentic but i traded the mccareins to dinobot for a namath

Last two jersey's i purchased were Vilma, and Chad in 06 season... So I'll shy away from current players.. for the sake of us all

Wear it out when you play touch/flag football. You'll at least look the part even though it'll be outdated. Or you can always donate it to charity. wouldn't it awesome to see bums on the street in rag-tag clothes with a JETS jersey over it?

I have a Mccariens jersey so I will not wear it without a name change. White tape and the name Keller. I am not buying another jersey. I had Shuler and he retired, Byrd and was injured, Farrior and he went to the Steelers and Justin who sucked big time. Maybe I should stop wearing jerseys

This is why I don't buy jerseys of current players !
I'd rather have a Namath, Maynard, Philbin or even a Chrebet or Martin otherwise a custom with my name and 69 (And it doesn't meant the "69" you youngsters are thinking of !).

Hang it on the wall in your game room if you have one. Almost like retiring it, but it will always be in view to remind you of the player and the time period when they played for the team.

Edit: Unless it's a McCariens jersey. That would probably work good in a fix if you're out of toilet paper.

Ketchup and mustard, Jturds. You must eat them. That is the only way a true Jets fan can deal with such a dire circumstance.
