Well, if he can collect a bonus, then he'll probably keep his weight down. In Carolina, he had a tendency to report to camp bloated.
I'm very anxious to see our linebacker corps this season. Harris is already a beast and if Gholston and Pace live up to expectations we could have something special here. Not to mention Jenkins. If he can make the transition to NT (which I know he can) we could totally turn this team around. I just pray the defense shows up in the first half of the season...
I get more confortable with this front 7 with each report I hear. This could be like 2004 where you like to watch the defense play. Can't wait for the season to begin.
another good sign by tangini, this jenkings contract his gonna have to be earned, a great motivating tool, and a good contract
I think these guys are all very good and can protect each other. Gholston should shine playing next to Harris.
For me, the crazy thing is I believe without even adding Gholston this defense had the potential to be special once the learning curve is out of the way. Make no mistake, the first couple of weeks might be a bit chaotic with so many moving pieces in places they've never been with the guys around them. Once that gets staightened out I think this 'D' could and will terrorize opposing QB's...
It's in terms of fantasy ranking. They think he will lead the league in tackles and thus likely fantasy points. The thread title IDP stands for Individual Defensive Players
I have no idea why I've never negotiated that for myself. What a sweet deal. Jenkins' weight loss should help him stay off the injury report for a while. Hopefully we find another good ILB, DEs and a replacement NT for him before everything goes sour-in terms of contracts and age.
Wow, a 6-4 360 NT eating blocks in front of David Harris... If you thought he had a breakout year last season, he might very well be even better in 2008...
