Rooting for the Giants is not that bad, they really have no rivalry, but rooting for two teams in the same conference in the same division is ludicrous.
Not even if hell froze over!! And since I now live in Charlotte I can't even pull for the Panthers!!!
after reading this i forgive you, it would be like growing up in east rutherford and being a die hard fan of another team, but like the jets a little bit, and since you were born and raised in miami and you are a die hard jets fan, i gotta give it up to you, people are gonna be tough on you cause, as jet fans we hate the dolphfags
O I agree, its sorta a sibling rivalry, though they've had more success in recent years. But being a Jets/phins fan is ridiculous. However, we are the 6th borough down here, but I wish nothing but hardship on that franchise.....
I agree, I don't really like some of the Giants players, but I do not hate them like I do the Pats, or the Fish. If the Jets can't win there are allot of teams I would rather not see win ahead of the Giants, and yes it's time for the Jets to win again already and close that gap.
On second thought, it is nice that the Jets totally own the fish as of late, so I guess I too am quite fond of them. :metal:
i don't buy it. if you were born and raised somewhere, raised rooting for a specific team, and then move, you still are a fan of that team. i moved to North Carolina to go to college in 2001. i stayed there until 2006, not knowing if i'd move back up here -- meaning, i may have been down there for the rest of my life. during that time, i still was die-hard for the Jets and never considered being a fan of the Panthers also, let alone another team within my team's division. now, vice versa, my roommate from school - borned and raised in Charlotte - is a die-hard Panthers fan. we both live in Brooklyn, and his sole fandom belongs to the Panthers, not the Jets nor the Giants. and if he was to move to New Orleans, Tampa, or Atlanta, he would never ever ever become a fan of one of those teams. if you move, you buy the NFL Package and go on the team's message board.
As much as I love football, I can't even bring myself to be involved with my local team.... Can you guess why? http://www.gateshead-senators.co.uk/
Ok this is becoming silly. To clarify it and make it simpler for you knuckleheads, the first NFL team I ever liked was the Jets. I don't care about your friends and who moved where and who moved there. I have a slight liking to the Dolphins because I am from the area. Nothing more to it. If you can't handle it, then move the hell on. You guys are a joke sometimes.
