buffalo qb? well, does anybody know who's going to be the competition over in buffalo? I dont think losman will be qb anymore with his poor performances.
Easily Trent Edwards. He was very good last year. As long as he doesn't bomb out this year I think he'll be the Bills starting QB for the next couple of years.
I agree. This kid may actually give them 7 years of good QB play, if he's the real deal he will make the Bills a more annoying team. No one should underestimate them.
Trent Edwards really impressed people that much? I don't think I saw anything out of the ordinary with the guy...alot of short throws and stuff...that guys been overrated as hell this offseason.
He's better than what we've got. And their roster is more or less equal to or better than ours. The one thing I will give us is coaching. I credit last year's lousy year to poor personnel, which I believe the Jets addressed. But Dick Jauron... he's a timebomb waiting to go off.
I don't even think he's better than what we got. He's got a kickass OL with the best young LT in the league...one of the best young RBs...a great deep threat in Evans that completely got brushed to the side cause Edwards and the Bills lived and died an offense that looked alot like the one we had with a healthy Chad. Of course, Edwards didn't come anywhere near the production Chad did. I'm just not blown away by the guy. Maybe I missed something...maybe I'll change my mind when I see him again...but I think he's been ridiculously overrated this season. I'll say it right now...I like what I've seen in Clemens way more than I've seen in Edwards.
I would 2 I love what Chad has done for us since drafting him but Ive seen enuff of him now, we need to move on since the injuries...
In the second game with the Bills, I got the feeling that Edwards was very calm and confident because he just knew they were going to beat us, no matter what we did. That feeling will be dispelled this year, in my view. We cannot be a source of Edward's serene self-confidence any more.
We didn't have Pace and Gholston last year, and Harris was just getting going by the second Buffalo game.
A few days late on this. Okay, first they should have beaten NE at home in 2006 had Marlon McCree simply just fallen down after intercepting Brady. After NE got the ball back they had all of the momentum. But discussing the 2007 game in New England, the Chargers were in the Red Zone 3 times, twice inside the 10, and came away with only 3 Field Goals. But, if they had 2 of the best Red Zone players in the league (Tomlinson and Gates) the end result of the game has an excellent chance of being different. In my opinion they would have won that game with Gates and Tomlinson.
The conditions in that game were pretty bad to pass in, I'm not sure Gates is a huge factor just like Moss wasn't that day. Add in Rivers crappy arm and I don't see him being a huge factor on a cold blowing day. Tomlinson I agree, a difference maker especially in that type of game. Although if the Pats needed another score, I'm not sure the Chargers stop them? Good field good day to throw both teams healthy and I see Brady winning that battle against Rivers everyone healthy. The 06 game you have to say it was the Shottenheimer jinx, no other way to explain that loss. That was among the luckiest things I have ever seen. I almost puked on that one. For a team that cheats, you have to give them credit for having amazingly lucky Karma.
True... better than some. Not a big fan of the coaching change and how they did it. I think some of the early problems in the season were reflective of that, but even Herm could manage that team to 10-11 wins a season.
Same here. That was disgusting. Anyway...I think that good day, good weather and all that...the Chargers are...or were at least...the best matchup against the Pats. They're big, physical, fast, and they have some elite talent in real key, hard for the Patriots to hurt areas.
The mere fact that Herm could get 10-11 wins a season out of a team tells how good they are. Even after he installed his prevent offense.
