I agree... if nothing else he shined some embarrassment the Pats way and cost them a 1st round pick and some cash. A victory in the moral department area, for whatever that is worth.

If Mangini is ever directly implicated I'm hoping he will at least go to his press conference dressed up in a clown suit and say "I've spoken with the commissioner about the Patriots videotaping procedure and my interpretation of the rules."

I won't deny that Mangini was complicit in Belli's schemes...the proof is in byz's sig. However, the proof that he is not a cheater and was merely toeing the company line lies in the fact that HIS regime are not cheaters. I think this should absolve him of any further inquiry into his integrity.

Pats fans reaching for straws..Going after Mangini is admitting the Pats are cheaters and the Sbs are tainted.

We get it. You want Jet fans to say Mangini is just as unethical but no one can say if he is or not.

He has not been caught cheating as HC of the Jets.

Yes, he may have had knowledge of the taping while an assistant under Belichick but if he did have any involvement he was not the one ordering it he was just following orders and if he did not follow orders he would be coaching HS ball right now.

Fact is that we do not know if he did or not but we do know that Belichick cheated.

    Anything else?

Man that would make my year. I would even start some dickless threads like this:

    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=82415

It's sad when a coach gets universally hated by an entire fanbase for trying to keep another team from cheating against his team, huh? I wonder who they would have picked wit that lost draft pick...:rofl:

What would you do if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key.

I think it's freaking hilarious that the majority of those delusional blowjobs voted for:

"I'm a stronger fan than ever, it's us against the world."

 And they lived happily ever after. Bunch of waterheads.

I like the one guy that mentions karma being a bitch.

True karma would mean the Patsies will be worse than the Raiders for many years to come.
If being worse than the Raiders is possible.

PNNY ... the reason the NFL had to make a deal with Matt Walsh is because he could've been sued or tried in court for being involved in what was an illegal act. In fact, Walsh was more so in violation that possibly even Mangini.

The reason I don't hold it against Mangini is twofold, one... like Walsh, he came forward and and alerted the NFL to this. He may have felt uncomfortable in doing so while he was employed by the guy who was not only the cheater, but also his mentor. But after leaving the Patriots and having all the bad blood develop between the two of them, he may not have felt so uncomfortable in doing so. In a way, that is lame that it took all that to happen for him to come forward, but honestly, most people would've done the exact same thing. Not very many people are inclined to turn in people who are like family to them. That relationship deteriorated when Mangini left for the Jets.

The second reason is, when New England was actually caught red-handed cheating, Mangini wasn't on New England. It is common knowledge now that Mangini was with New England when this did happen, but so were a whole bunch of other people. If you're going to make an argument that Mangini should be indicted in this, then you have to include everyone else who ever worked for the Patriots under Bill Bellicheat, and that won't happen. Ultimately it is Bellicheat's ship, and he is responsible for it. He is the one who will take the blame, and who will go down in flames.

Ugh. That's just sad. If thats what the fan base is going to morph into if the Jets are ever successful, I'd almost prefer the status quo.

Along those same lines, why can't the sniveling Pats fans who love to say "uhh, the videotaping was just like a holding penalty. Everybody does it" see that videotaping is not the same as grabbing a jersey for too long?

The proper analogy would have to involve something foreign to the playing field being brought onto the field by a player or team to help them cheat. A perfect example would be a boxer that secretly fitted his glove with metal. Certainly that is not the same type of "cheating" as say, hitting below the belt.

But hey, who I am I to stop them from saying the obvious falsehood that "everyone" cheated like Belly?

They can blame Mangini all they want, but it's been going on for 8 years and someone finally said something.
I can't say for sure that Mangini is innocent so I am not going to even go there, but at least he had the balls to exploit this.

Well, to be fair, message boards, this one included, don't always attract the best and the brightest the fan base has to offer this time of year. We have our share of nitwits and cementheads too.
