It's Cinco De Mayo, which should mean a pretty disgusting scene at Chavez Ravine tonight. I'm anticipating several arrests at Shea West with an over/under @ 200. Cerveza+jealous Dodgers fans (incensed with every "Let's Go Mets" chant that gets started)+Cinco De Mayo could = ugly. Hope I don't get shanked in the parking lot, which is always a possibility when it's not Cinco De Mayo.
They sound like Raiders fans, Doc. Oh, wait... I'm stuck in work until midnite, so if anyone could post the score I'd be grateful.
perez's velocity seems down again, like when he first came over here. seems like he's struggling to hit 90 even on the juiced radar guns SNY uses.
Mets are pioneering the "3 pitcher" lineup in a quest to set a record for the fewest runs scored in ML history.
I do. It's the first game I get to really watch in a while due to work and hockey, so I bought two energy drinks when my shift was over at 10 so I could stay awake. This sucks.
Ollie seems to be showing real signs of serious regression - a WHIP of 1.80 and a K:BB ratio of 5:4 is very troubling. If this is what the season is going to hold, the Mets have no shot.
As shaky as Perez has been the last few times out sadly enough the starting pitching is the least of the Mets concerns. The offense is the most alarming thing, especially when a full 3rd of the Mets "A" lineup is incapable of an XBH(Unless Santana is pitching).
Maybe he's available. He'd be a great fit on this team. Speaking of center, at least Willie put his worst defensive OFer in for Beltran at center. I'd rather see Alou out there. And I'm only half kidding.
