Sorry fellow posters if this is a stupid question. But we dont get much Jet news down here in the Carolinas. I was wondering if anyone knew his status, Injured? Traded?
He's still on the team, and rehabbing as well. There are threads buried somewhere with a lot of info on him.
wonder if the fact that we did'nt draft a CB, has anything to do with the CS'S confidence in him being the "comeback kid"?
we did though, although i can just as easily see lowery being moved to safety. ideally i'd like to see Revis and Miller at CB and Lowery and Rhodes at S but of course i really don't know much about Lowery so maybe I don't want to see that haha.
Miller could come back and contribute quite a bit if he continues to improve like he was last year before his injury... which is a real hard one to come back from but I'm rooting for him.
I was wondering what you guys thought about Justin.I coached against him when he played youth football in Owensboro Kentucky grades 4-7.He was so fast.He would touch the ball and none of our guys could touch him.Just wondering how you guys think he is doing for the Jets
Considering that we are trying for a man to man defense, Lowery as a zone D CB leads me to believe that he will be competing for the other safety spot.
Thats why I come here. You guys are the best. I dont come in much during the off season. So I thought I might have missed something. I like Miller and hope he can get pack and contribute. Thanks again
I might add that I though that kid Elam was a diamond in the rough who will be much better this year. Last season was his first as a starter and he seemed to be always around the ball. He did make some bone head plays here and there, but he was basicly a rookie for us and those mistakes are going to happen as he learns. He is just in his third season in the NFL and I really think this kid is "getting it" now...
yeah, he takes a lot shit around here, and sometimes deservedly. but he's inexperienced and he will make those mistakes; sucks some of them were costly. i think the fact that he was starting says more about our talent deficiency at spot opposite Rhodes. if Lowery can win that job, and is not only the ballhawk we hope he is, but also learns to read D's and tackle well, then we'll have very solid depth at the Safety position with Smith and Elam.
Miller's doing good from what ive heard and should be competing for the #2 Corner spot or a Dime slot either way we should be seeing some good things from him and not just from the Return Game.
Miller was really doing well in camp last year before he got injured. He was starting in fact. I think he came back too soon and that proabbly contributed to his more serious injury.
I'm really interested to see how Miller bounces back from the injury. He was performing really well in last years training camp. I hope he comes back healthy and ready to go because if he can solidify the other CB position our secondary may end up 2nd to none.
