I heard the same thing with Kenny Obrien , and it wasn't true. He just held onto the ball too long. Elway had no Oline early in his career, niether did Aikman or Manning, they turned out OK. He's a pussy if he can't get over it. Other Qb's have Plunkett, Phil Simms, Vinny T, there is a whole list of guys who overcame it. If he had the ability, he wouldn't be fighting for a spot to make the Giants right now. He's still young and no one really wants him. His own team buried him after he left.

Which is why the Jets are MUCH better off with Gholston as opposed to McFadden. McFadden can't sack Brady and that how to beat the Pats.

Elway, Manning, and Aikman are all special players - and they were/are surrounded by special players.

You don't have the right to call any player in the NFL a pussy. You know why? ...because I'm willing to bet anything and everything that you have ZERO athletic ability.

Carr isn't O'Brien. Carr isn't Elway. Carr isn't Aikman. Carr isn't Manning. Carr is Carr, and his head is obviously not there anymore after taking that kind of beating season after season in Houston.

I don't give a damn about any kind of list that you can put together.

And Charles Spencer could/should be better than both of them...

Iunno, Carr and the Texans is complicated. He had alot of flaws, but they did almost nothing on that O-line after Boselli went down.

I was one of Mario's biggest fans (and wasn't as high on Reggie Bush as most), but even I would've probably taken Bush. It took guts to do what Casserly did, but Mario's a stud. Ever since, I've paid close attention to what Casserly has to say.

You just lost everything and anything. I won't bother giving credentials because you wouldn't believe it anyway. I'll try to come up with a better euphamism that won't hurt your feelings. How does happy feet sound? Why wouldn't you bother reading a list of guys who got their heads kicked in their first season or 2 and became great QBs? Just try to prove why I'm wrong. Carr was a #1 overall pick. If he became a mediocre QB (top15?) Casserly would still be there.

Casserly resigned after the Mario Williams pick.

There are facts and stats that PROVE David Carr took a worse beating then any of those guys. I'm not saying all of this because I'm biased towards Fresno State players either...I really believe David Carr would've shined in Houston if he had protection.

I said earlier that David Carr is now a head-case. He runs around in the pocket and either takes off, or he gets rid of the ball as fast as he can by getting it to his checkdown.

I liked Carr coming out of college, is it me or does Flacco remind you of him? Of course, Carr played against much better competition in college.

Casserly resigned for several reasons, one of which was that people were pissed he didn't take Bush or Vince. The other was the mistake of David Carr.

    Here are some interesting facts
David Carr first full 3 seasons. 44games-140 sacks.
    Ken obrien 43 152
    Plunkett 42 112
    Vinny T 41 120
    Aikman 43 94
    Elway 42 98
    Simms 35 114
Steve young First Season 14 47
Case closed. He took too many sacks and compares well to Kenny O. (Who was a better QB than Carr will ever be)They all got the crap beat out of them, only Carr wilted or can't play the position effectively. Carr was a mistake for Casserly, not the other way around.

I believe Carr was an overrated pretty boy anyway- screw david carr, everyone below him on that list recovered from a beating, minus steve young. Hes a Box.
