You're honestly OK with getting a fringe player and 8 losers, only to cut the 8 losers? We traded for Jenkins too, so I guess we count him in this draft...

And the merc trade for Moss. How'd that work out Randy? Epic fail.

They came 1.40 seconds closer to a Sb than we have in the last 40 years!

Sad there will be an * after everything that happened up until 2008. Start working on 2009, because with Billicheat out of the league, the Pats can start making legit history, of failure.

You want to know the greatest part about this whole situation? The fucking cherry on top of my sundae for this season? 3 times the Patriots win Super Bowls by the skin of their teeth at the last moment possible. Then they get burned for cheating in 2007. They get a bug up their ass and try to amp it up over every team, running the score up as much as possible until other teams catch on to the gameplan and start lessening their effectiveness.

Belichick has the team running at breakneck pace, trying to be the hare racing the tortoise, and it shows at the end of the season because many of their star players are running on fumes. Belichick knows he has to because he doesn't have some of the advantages he's had in years past. They make it to the Super Bowl, and get to the fourth quarter, where they lose in the same fashion without their cheating ways that they won when they WERE cheating.

OH THE SWEET FREAKING BEAUTIFUL IRONY! SOMEBODY MAKE ME A MARTINI! And the whole time you chowder-choking half-heads are puffing out your chests and feeling invincible. All the way to the end.

I have despised Bill Belichick for years, but I actually have to thank him for 2007. Thank you, Mumbles. Thank you so much. The 18 wins were so worth that one important loss. You crushed their souls like a bunch of stale goose turds.

I kinda suspect that they were outmaneuvered in this draft. I suppose time will tell, but it seems like nobody above us would trade out because the guy they wanted the most fell to them. Then a guy they really could have used falls to their archrival.

They don't like the value where they're picking so they trade back. The Saints get their guy in Ellis and then Jacksonville has a surprise trade up because Ryan didn't fall to the Ravens and pick Harvey. The Bengals then pick Rivers. I suspect that the Pats had either targeted Harvey or Rivers with their trade down.

I like Mayo as a player, but it's questionable whether they got good value for him at the tenth pick. He has been shooting up draftboards though, and some people were saying he was either a hair below or on the level of Rivers.

However, if the Pats hadn't picked him you have to wonder how far he would have fell. Very few teams picked LB's early after that. That may have been a product of talent dropoff, but there weren't many teams that saw LB as that desperate of a need (Lions or Falcons perhaps?).

When you say "jumping around the living room" can you explain the "jumps" or was it like a ballerina type hopping around.

Not being sarcastic here, I just have been very very bored today and I am donating my time to losers that come to other teams websites and announce that they were prancing around their living rooms during the draft selections of teams other then the one they root for.

Was there anyone else in the room?
Was it a flat screen TV? (Im not sure why I need to know that..but I do)
Was anyone video taping it? (Perhaps bb lives nearby ..wink wink)
Was the prancing similiar to the one you were doing with 30 seconds to go in the superbowl game? or was it a "different" kind of jump(s).

    Ok...continue..and welcome to our site!

Hey, man, thats not cool. At least that guy named himself after a true legend, and not some faggot who plays for the patriots.

I have to agree I think they wanted one of those guys over Mayo as well. I was expecting them actually after the Ravens traded down to make a deal with the Eagles for Sheppard and the switch of picks 10 and 19 and then pick Mayo but I am glad I was wrong.

I suppose 2008 truly epitomized just the extent to which the joke is on the Patriots.
After winning the AFC east for the 5th year in a row, setting all sorts of records, and making their 4th trip to the Super Bowl in 7 years they played one bad game and came up short. That loss sure showed New Englanders just how much they suck.

    I LAWL'd.

Maybe I'm a non-hater in nation of haters, but the Pats losing the Super Bowl got ruined fast. All that "end of an era" crap..."zomg they're the first team that cheated ever and now we just showed them that in America cheating doesn't pay"...what a load of trash.

I loved seeing the Pats and Brady go down, but wow was that loss overblown. Yes, I do respect BB and the Pats for what they've done in the modern era.

The funniest part of all this is that the media ALWAYS made the Pats headlines for them. No player quotes. No trash talk. Just football.
