I would have let Keller have his number IF it didnt belong to Curtis which I think should be retired Gholston should buy his number from Barton if they let them do that like baseball

I do consider him a WR but he could be considered a FB/TE to allow it. I dont like WR with QB numbers unless your someone like a Antwaan Randle el or Brad Smith.

WRs have 20 numbers from which to choose: 10-19 and 80-89. TEs have 10 numbers from which to choose: 80-89. Any request to wear a number for a special position (such as H-back) must be made to the commissioner. This is where the numbers worn by guys like Chris Cooley and Dallas Clark come into play.
We have had some decent 56's.... Mehl was an alltime great Jet and Lageman although being drafted way too high wasn't a bad player. Now Abe will always be #94 regardless of what he wore in 05
That's not how it works. Also, Gholston hasn't played 1 down yet... lets see the kid in the NFL before we make him into anything..... A returning Vet gets the respect from any rookie that has never played a Down in the NFL.
I was actually hoping Keller would get a jersey in the 40's... 45 would have looked pretty bad ass... 56 will look good on Gholston.
