I know we still have Chad, and that KC doesn't have the starting position on lock, but what do we do if niether QB can step up and produce even with all the changes we've made? Who do we turn to?
let's see...Tui, Erik Ainge, or we sign Kliff Kingsbury like we did 3 years ago  Just pray that Penny or Clemens doesn't get hurt.
Also it does not look like any great QB's will be in next years draft, so either we suck it out yet again the next season or trade to get some body good.
and, then next year when we are picking top 10, we take the top QB available. Unless of course there is no franchise QB and then we pass and strengthen other positions and get the QB the next year. This is what I suspect the Bears did this season, they either only saw Ryan as a franchise QB or they didnt see a single franchise guy, so that is why they didnt select a QB...
All know that with the right surrounding,Chad can and has been successful. That is why after all of the signing the jets did this year there is no way they are banking on Clemens to start. If Chad goes down and Clemens sucks,we'll be discussing our top 6 pick again around this time.
i have faith that this organization will go get a Franchise QB if Clemens falters this year. I see them moving into round one to get someone, like BAL or CLE did in the past 2 drafts.
We have Ainge, who needs a lot of work and can either look for a vet QB or draft another. I'm hoping that with an improved line that he will show more of what he did in the ravens game and less of what he did at the end of the season.
Then we draft the best available QB in next years Draft and hope that one of them can hold the fort until he is ready.
If our defense is as strong it looks on paper, and our new O-line helps our running game enough....I think we can get by without a strong QB. Even if Clemens sucks the big one, Chad will at least be serviceable (as long as he stays healthy). If the Ravens can win a Superbowl with Trent Dilfer, we can get to the playoffs with Chad.
Must every topic be about the QB position? There ae 21 other major positions that make a difference on the football field.
But the most important one is not settled nor has immense talent. That doesn't make you a super bowl contender. Thats why it is a cause for concern.
We arent a finished product. That is well known. Not to mention, why is it so difficult to allow KC to continue developing? Ijust dont understand the constant harping about the QB position. Never have and never will.
We need our QB to step up and produce now that they have the weapons, protection, and defense to back them up. No excuses this year.
I think it comes out of the distrust for who we have right now. I want Clemens to get the full season under belt to evaluate him, but i too don't trust him yet- he has to earn it, in camp and in week 1-16. When Clemens is consistent and confident and they are winning games. This all goes away.
I'm hoping Derek Anderson has another good year....then the Browns will be facing a Brees/Rivers type situation, and deal one of their QB's away possibly next offseason. I wouldn't mind trading for Quinn...but before that happens, I'd like to see him play in the regular season to see how he handles the faster pace. A couple of decent quarters in the preseason last year, against 3rd stringers doesn't tell me much.
