Yeah i know the 08 draft just ended but im a junkie and i dont care

First of the QB position next year is absolutely garbage Tim Tebow might change that if he can prove that he can throw consistently but as of right none should go in the first. Some JR?s may change that Sam Bradford RS sophomore technically and maybe Matt Stafford going into his JR. season. My favorite QB in heading into the 09 season is Chase Daniel but being only 6?0 will keep him out of the first round. RB is alright no Reggie Bush or Arian Peterson type prospects but it will be solid if most of the JR?s come out. The best prospect is Chris Wells out of Ohio State, another RB in red who will the first RB chosen. Knowshon Moreno RS sophomore is eligible as is C.J. Spiller 2 fast RB will probably be chosen in the 1st along with Wells. For WR honestly idk as much as id like to, but my favorite prospects are Crabtree who compares to Calvin Johnson just amazing attributes and size and Macklin, who is a much better version of Ted Ginn.

    QB
    1. Chase Daniel Missouri SR.
    2. Hunter Cantwell Louisville SR.
    3. Matt Stafford Georgia JR.

    RB
    1. Chris Wells Ohio State JR.
    2. Knowshon Moreno Georgia JR.
    3. C.J. Spiller Clemson JR.

    WR
    1. Micheal Crabtree Texas Tech JR.
    2. Jeremy Maclin Missouri JR.
    3a. Percy Harvin Florida JR.
    3b. Darrius Heyward-Bey Maryland JR.

    TE
    1. Chase Coffman Missouri SR.
    2. Andrew Quarless Penn State JR.
    3. Cornelius Ingram Florida SR.

    OL
    1. Michael Oher Ole Miss SR.
    2. Alex Boone Ohio State SR.
    3. Alex Mack California SR.

Moving on to defense George Selvie DE/OLB out of South Florida right now is the top pass-rusher in the ?09 class. But he isn?t the only one, there a lot 34 OLB prospects in that 09 class Michael Johnson Georgia Tech, Ian Campbell KSU, Brian Orakpo Texas, Lawrence Wilson Ohio State, Antwain Robinson Arkansas and Matt Shaughnessy Wisconsin. LB is definitely not weak this year I could easily see 7 go in the first round excluding 34 OLBS. James Laurinaitis, Ohio State Rey Maualuga, USC Darry Beckwith, LSU Brian Cushing Reggie Carter, UCLA Anthony Heygood, Purdue and Marcus Freeman, Ohio State all have 1st round grades. Maualuga and Laurinaitis the 2 top LB?s with Rey having a slight edge both can easily play the 3-4 as they are big and have 4.5 speed. From what Mayock was talking about Maualuga he might be the best MLB prospect to come out since Urlacher the guy is a beast. ON the outside another USC player Cushing is the top OLB prospect and can a lot of positions reminds me of Bobby Carpenter coming out but he will be much more productive as USC defensive always are. At CB Malcolm Jenkins is all by himself if he came out this year he would have been the first CB chosen, Vontae Davis is behind him though as they as of right now are the only 1st rounders.

And as for the deepest position in the draft well that goes to safety. I mean 6with the combination of size and speed for all of these guys its ridiculous. Taylor Mays first off has all the tools I mean the second coming of Sean Taylor (RIP) looks just like him at 6?4 230 4.3 speed if he puts it all together this year he should be a top 5 pick. Myron Rolle ESPN?s # 1 player coming out in 06 is probably the smartest safety in this class and has the physical tools to go with smarts. William Moore Missouri, Kam Chancellor Va. Tech Nic Harris Oklahoma and Kevin Ellison USC should all go someone in the 1st to early 2nd.

    DT
    1. Al Woods LSU JR.
    2. Fili Moala USC SR.
    3. DeMarcus Granger Oklahoma JR.

    DE
    1. George Selvie USF JR.
    2. Tyson Jackson LSU SR.
    3. Michael Johnson Georgia Tech SR.

    MLB
    1. Rey Maualuga
    2. James Laurinaitis
    3. Darry Beckwith

    OLB
    1.Brian Cushing USC SR.
    2. Reggie Carter JR. UCLA
    3a. Anthony Heygood SR. Purdue
3b. Marcus Freeman SR. Ohio State

    CB
    1.Malcolm Jenkins Ohio State
    2.Vontae Davis JR. Illinois
    3.Macho Harris Va. Tech SR.

    S
    1. William Moore Missouri SR.
    2. Taylor Mays USC JR.
3a. Myron Rolle Florida State JR.
    3b. Nic Harris Oklahoma SR.

Just like to point out that MLB or ILB in the 3-4 is likely to be the best position in terms of guys at the top of the draft who can help you. honestly I haven't even started looking yet, so i have no clue on depth, but CB might be decent again next year. Also I have a hunch we are gonna need a 3-4 end next year pretty badly, so start scouting those guys, for those who are bored and in need of something to do...

Another very good offensive line class in '09, but from the way it looks now, the QB class is even worse than this years

If Matt Stafford, Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, and Mark Sanchez all enter the draft the class will be pretty damn good.

If Greg Hardy enters the draft 3-4 teams are going to be salivating.

If not, he's the best 3-4 OLB prospect in '10.

Terrence Taylor could be a sick NT prospect, but he struggled last year and seemed to take a hit.

DeMonte Bolden should have alot of 3-4 teams chasing him too.

Very nice job. I think Chris Wells is going to be the next "big thing" at RB. I also think Chase Daniel could have a Matt-Ryan like year and be a top-10 pick. Also, isn't Michael Crabtree only a sophmore this year, meaning he can't come out?

I agee inside linebacker and defensive end should be priorities, maybe first-day priorities.

Everybody knew how bad next year's QB was going to be. It's a shame we couldn't have gotten Flacco like they wanted. Maybe Ainge will work out but if he doesn't we will continue to have a QB problem for at least the next 3-4 years unless Clemens totally changes the way they are looking at him now.

He'll be a redshirt sophomore. A lot like Larry Fitzgerald when he entered the draft.

Crabtree can play for the Knicks in the off-season. He was pretty good prospect and I read Bobby Knight wanted him to play for them.

I don't think the QB class is quite as bad as some people are making it out to be. There are a lot of really talented QBs coming up as Seniors that just aren't hyped up because their teams aren't at the tops of their conferences.

One thing I'd change up is that I really don't see Chase Daniel as a top level prospect, I can see him sneaking into the first round, but if he measures out any smaller than the 6-0 he's listed at, which he very well may, then it's going to be bad.

Curtis Painter is set to have a HUGE season in 2008, and if all goes well, it'll be his third straight standout season. Last season he cut down on Interceptions while upping his passes and completion percentage and has a powerful arm. I could see him emerging as a top ten caliber player after another season, mainly if Purdue can pull off some big wins.

Cullen Harper is another guy to watch. Clemson should be a very dangerous team this coming year, and while Davis and Spiller will take much of the credit, Harper deserves a lot. When they played BC late last season, the Clemson offense as a whole wasn't having a very good game, but came on late and almost pulled on Matt Ryan what Ryan himself had done on VTech. He has a strong arm, he's a very smart passer, and has been able to carve himself out a legacy when everyone in Death Valley wanted to see stud freshman Willie Korn starting out last season. Now the Clemson fans think they can win the ACC largely because of Harper.

Hunter Cantwell of course has a lot of hype around him, and for good reason. It obviously depends on a lot breaking right for him next year, especially with UL losing their top 3 WRs and best TE, but the physical skills of Cantwell are incredible. Brian Brohm has a pretty decent arm in his own right, but man I was watching the two before the RU game last season and Cantwell's arm just blew Brohm's out of the water. Every pass was a rope, if he has the overall game to match, he's got top 5 talent.

Of course, Matt Stafford, if he leaves early, could very easily find himself as a top ten player as well, and I do fully expect a lights out season from him in 08.

I'll contribute to the rest of the positions when I get some more time.

Teel will open some eyes this year and be a 5th rounder I think.

    OK, lets get crafty:

With the first pick in the NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers select:

    Michael Oher, Ole Miss.

I definitely dont see us selecting a QB in '09 not that i dont like any of them its just that i feel that they want to give Clemens and Ainge a chance. Plus their arent as of right now any top 5 QB prospects. Pennington should be gone by the 09 draft i mean we have to get some value from him because he is not goin to be the qb of the future.

What the Jets did in the draft clearly show me that they are looking for starters straight up, not depth or solid backups they want starters, and are willing to sacrifice picks for that. Look at last year same thing up trade up for Revis trade up for Harris, this year trade up for Keller.

    (from another board)
2009 NFL DRAFT - WE HAVE 10 TOTAL PICKS

    ROUND 1
    ROUND 2
    ROUND 3
ROUND 3 (NO) via VILMA trade, could be a 2nd and if so we give up our 4th
    ROUND 4
ROUND 4 (KC) via KENDELL trade
    ROUND 5
ROUND 5 (DEN) pending on playing time, can be up to a 2nd rounder to no pick in D-ROB plays less then 65%
    ROUND 6
    ROUND 7

    NOTES:
Vilma in the 43 is beast id bet money we get a 2nd for him. I dont know the conditions as much as id like to but i bet that one of them is if he makes the pro-bowl we get a 2nd. Urlacher is a lock barring injury Lofa Totapu makes it because the ir is no one else in the NFC. Patrick Willis is one im worried about, hopefully their is a snap count total like Denvers deal with D-Rob if that is the case Vilma should reach that easily.

I think D-Rob with a good NT next to him and good pass-rushers is a pro-bowl type player just look at the 2004 d-line Abraham, Robertson, Fergusen and Ellis (sick line).I think the thought will be to rotate him as much as possible to prevent going over that 65% but if Robertson starts playing like i think he can, Shanahan ego will get the best of him and he will want to prove what an great mind he has and he will start playing D-Rob more and D-rob at the end of the day i think we get a third .Because talent wise he is the best DT in that rotation.

    cond. pick for D-ROBERTSON
the apparent playing conditions for robertson/draft pick

    80%, 2nd rounder
    70%, 3rd rounder
    65%, 5th rounder

Next year's draft i see us trading up to get who we want and not settling for where we will be at, like usual.

I doubt Chase Daniel will play in the NFL. Third-stringer, maybe.

I much prefer Hunter Cantwell over Brian Brohm.

I like both Clemson running backs.

We could be loaded for next years draft.

Thats sick too because here's some of the 3-4 talent:

    Terrence Taylor NT
    Demonte Bolden DE
    Mike Johnson DE/OLB
    Fili Moala DE
    Brian Cushing DE/OLB
    Rey Maualuga ILB
    James Laurinaitis ILB
    Brandon Spikes ILB
    George Selvie DE/OLB
    Maurice Evans DE/OLB
    Tyson Jackson DE
    Al Woods NT/DE
    Ian Campbell DE/OLB
    Greg Middleton DE/OLB
    Jasper Brinkley OLB/ILB
    Greg Hardy OLB

    Theres probably some I'm missing.

The first thing I thought when I saw Micheal Crabtree was "Andre Johnson." He's going to be a sick prospect.

If Crabtree isn't Johnson sick, then Heyward-Bey probably will be.

Keiland Williams will be a Micheal Turner clone. He'd be perfect with Washington...
