Call me crazy, but with the type of offseason we've had, I bet Chad will be the starter come opening day.

With the all-new-dumbed-down playbook , KC will have a chance.
If CP wins out, theres going to be many many questions to answer, look for Tony Soprano prowling about if this happens

How do you see that? They were trying to trade up to take Flacco and lost out to Baltimore.

I think they didn't really like the QBs in this draft or they would have taken a Brohm or Henne in Rd 2 instead of trading up for the TE. This was a weak QB draft.

The problem is that they were saying on ESPN that next year's QB class is even worse. That means we are probably stuck with Pennington and Clemens for at least 4 years now unless they can pry a Quinn away from some team. This could be an absolute disaster unless they find that next Brady later today.

Thats why I wasn't too concerned who fell to us with the 6th pick. But with that said Dorsey and Ellis were the only ones I didn't want.

That doesn't mean you reach 1 year b/c the following year might be worse. it's difficult but there are other ways to get QBs, Dallas and Cleveland both got their QBs for basically nothing.

Yeah, I just heard that on NFL Network. Ravens got wind of it and made sure they picked him.

I agree, I think if Atlanta had taken Dorsey we would have snapped up Ryan, maybe even given the Chiefs Pennington and our 6 to make sure we got him? Not taking either Brohm or Henne in Rd 2 only means they aren't convinced either of them are sure fire franchise QB's not that they are in love with Chad or Clemens. They may, rightfully so, believe that Keller teamed with either Clemens or Chad is much better than either Henne or Brohm.

I don't think Flacco was a reach at all. He has all the tools to be successful. I wasn't high on Ryan at all.

I like Flacco and would have been fine w/ him but we never had the opportunity to get him. We weren't taking him at 6 and we didn't want to give up to much to move up to the middle of rd 1.

And I think that was all our own fault. When ESPN said the Jets were trying to move back up into round 1 to take him that forced Baltimore to do what they did. How that got leaked I don't know. He was never projected to go as high as 18.

Given that we were 4-12 last year, this would be a hell of an accomplishemnt in one season. I also think Chad will be the starter.

That's exactly what we did in 2006. Since 2002 we have been an every other year team:

2002: Div Champs, lost in div rd
    2003: 6-10
2004: 10-6 WC, lost bin div rd
    2005: 4-12
    2006: 10-6, WC team
    2007: 4-12

KEVIN O'CONNEL IN ROUND 6 OR 7. Guys he is expected to be the Tom Brady pick of 2008.
