just wish this shit with baker never happened. just can't help but feel this was a pick we did'nt have to make.
With the small # of picks we've got to work with, i did'nt want to waste it on a guy we never use in our offense.

I loved all three of those picks up until they actually suited up and started playing. Hard to call the guy a bust right now, right now he is awesome.

This coming from a guy who has Joel Dressen as his avatar...

That is definately the definition of irony.

This kid is going to be an offensive weapon, he is a little short but he makes up for it by jumping like a Wr. I'm surprised by the pick, the trade up especially but I think we are going to like having this kid on the team. He adds another playmaker to a team lacking playmakers.

If we can trade Baker it would be that much better.

This guy seems like much more of an offensive weapon than a blocker. But we have Bubba Franks who is a much better blocker, so Franks can be used in blocking situations, and Keller can go in when we need more receivers.

Ha ha and my avatar tells you what about me?I am sure you know the relationship between Joel and myself.Too bad that most of you dont want a TE or more to the point hate the idea that we traded up to get one.I did not do any scouting or interview any of these players so I will not sit here and act like I am a GM or scout. We all watch the college games and have our favorites.I will leave the drafting to the professionals who have done their scouting, reviewed tapes and interviewed the players.I doubt that our opinions alone and our favorite players makes us GM's.

lol. I still think we should have went wide receiver, or maybe a free safety. We should have stayed put. At least this way we could have had both, and maybe another corner back.

That's small for a tightend these days. Tightends run 6'5" 250+.

I think I will take 6"3 242 and the speed of this kid any day over 6"5 250, unless the latter has equal speed.

Okay man...you're constant negativity has finally pissed me off.

I'm pretty fucking sure that if the Jets traded up for Dustin Keller, that they plan on using him quite often.

This kid's got outstanding speed for a TE, and stop comparing him to Doug Jolley or any of the other tight ends from the Jets' past. That's a pointless comparison. Keller will be used like Gates: He can split out to wide receiver, play in the slot, line up in the backfield -- he's incredibly versatile as a pass catching threat. He is an instant upgrade for our passing game.
