i like the pick, this guy is a wr/te, so for all of you who wanted a wr at #30 this pick makes sense, and yes c.baker like p.kendall this is what happens when you fuck w/mangini

He would've been gone by 36...guaranteed. Watch his highlight film, and then complain. He's an absolute beast in the open field, he has solid hands, and he will fit in nicely into our offense. Cotchery and Coles will be fine at receiver. Keller is athletic enough to split out at wideout also. Don't complain until you know what you're talking about.

Chris Baker will likely be traded, and we can recoup that 4th rounder.

Not Happy with this pick... but.... we could trade our 4th rounders to get back into the second round, and still get a WR. Lets see what happens

The dude has WR speed and can catch and will be lined up against LBs who will be too slow or CBs who will be too small. PLAYMAKER

I love the idea of this player on the team, but I hate trading up to get him.

With the focus on a decent TE core, tells me they are betting on Chad being the 08 starter. just my opinion.

I'm also not feeling this pick. I'm not sure why the FO is so quick to close the book on Chris Baker. This issue is less than a week old. Something still could be worked out. Even so, Bubba Franks would be ready to step right in. I'm also not sure why the FO was so convinced Keller would not have made it to 36 if it wanted him so badly. I have no problem with moving up to 30, but if the Jets were going to do that, they should have taken either the best WR or the best FS in the Draft, both positions which could have used an upgrade.

Justin Miller and Dustin Miller. Is that kind of like Heckle and Jeckle?

The more you read and watch on Keller, the better the pick seems. But, it's easy for people to look at the position he plays and complain.

They are comparing him to Dallas Clarke (Indy) and he gives New England fits....If he is a middle of the field playmaker, Im ok with it...

If we trade Baker and recoup a 4th round pick, then the FO is off the hook IMO. That would be great.

You have to take into account that Clinkscales and co. are doing their homework 365 days a year.

    They have a plan.

They must be planning on trading Baker now. The Raiders need a TE, maybe we could get Fabian Washington for him. Other teams are the Falcons and Saints that come to the top of my head.

We traded one of our 4ths (the lower one) to move up for him.

What's interesting is of the WRs we were all hoping for, only Devin Thomas has gone off the board, and a couple of other WRs have been taken ahead of them.

Keller takes the place of that needed receiver...How can you not see that? If he makes a smooth transition from college to the pros, he'll be a hell of a threat all over the field.

We need some defensive backs, and maybe a linebacker.
