Good pick, this guy is impressive, setting records at OSU and he had the best bench press, vertical and horizontal leaps among D-Line men at the combine.

    Welcome aboard Mount Vernon!!! :jets:

I hope he lives up to his ability, I'm not a fan of this 3-4 so if a pass rusher is what it needs, looks like the Jets are relying on The Goust to do just that.

I'm happy with the pick. Load up on defense and knock some QBs down. I'm tired of standing up and making noise on 3rd down only to see us not get off the field and the whole stadium deflated over and over. A good pick and off season for our D.

I haven't been this pissed since the Jets took Victor Hobson with Anquan Boldin going to Arizona one pick later.

Not too thrilled. He's big and fast but not very consistent. I was hoping that we could trade down for some more picks.

Gholston is just what the doctor ordered. The FO is hitting on all cylinders, in my view.

Agreed. I do not like this pick. I think the Jets should have traded out of it. Regardless of the spectacular workout performance, I didn't like what I saw in the games against Michigan and LSU, the sack around Jake Long notwithstanding.

I really hope the regime knows what it's doing, and the last couple drafts have encouraged me, but my first instincts about this pick drive me to disappointment.

I hate this pick, I don't expect him to be a good pass rusher on the NFL level, and I don't think he'll fit in well at all in the Jets 3-4 defense.

We'll find out who is right later this year.

I don't understand how such a big fast athletic monster can be a bad LBer in your anyone's opinion. Who did you want some CB from Troy or Tenn St?

I saw the guy play. He is very stiff. I didn't see anything special from the guy. I think he's similar to Aundray Bruce and Bryan Thomas. Gholston will play in the league, but I don't expect greatness.

I wanted Keith Rivers or Branden Albert or a RB (either Stewart or Mendenhall).

    YAH BABY!! I'm so happy!

McFadden fans eat shit! I told you guys for monthes it would not be McFadden! If we wanted him we would have moved up to get him, we did not want him. Tangini had no interest in McFadden at all, its called a smoke screen.
