    i dont see anyone starting

dorsey and cris long aren't better than ellis or coleman

gholston wont start over harris barton pace or bryan thomas

mcfadden wont be starting over tom jones

ryan wont be starting over chad or clemens

any wr wont be starting over coles or cotchery

these guys on the draft list would just provide depth at some positions

jets big need is someone who can throw the ball providing he can stay up

im not sold on woody or moore

i would like the jets to trade for derek anderson---would have to give up a lot but well worth it

if penny reverts back to 2006 jets have a shot at winning 8-9-10 games and sneaking into the playoffs-----seems to me clemens has a long way to go

    My thoughts are:

We will not be picking Dorsey.

Chris Long won't be starting on the DL, he'd start over Thomas, OLB, or even Barton at ILB.

Gholston would split time with Thomas I'd imagine and unless Thomas blows everyone away, Gholston would become the starter by mid-season.

McFadden won't start this year, correct. This year being the key.

Don't get me started with Ryan (shoot myself if we pick him)

    In addition:

I disagree with drafting a CB at 6 but in likelihood, McKelvin would start.

If Keith Rivers was drafted, he'd start at ILB.

This is all assuming the players discussed actually produce at their projected value.

Bryan Thomas takes a back seat to any of the OLBs.

DMC shares carries, doesn't necessarily start

    Ryan starts next year.

    a CB does start.

Dorsey is not a 3-4 guy, Long is not a 3-4 DL in the NFL.

Rodgers-Cromartie would be our #2 and him and Revis would be a force.

Im starting to feel the same way about Ryan. I really think we can do a lot better with the #6 pick.

I feel Long would end up beating out thomas for the starting spot. Mcfadden would obviously split carries.

Who would have more of an impact? In this scenario i would have to go with Mcfadden.

Its early and we still have lots of players to evaluate and when it all comes together , we will be a better team then we were the last 3 years!

I could see Matt Ryan starting for the Jets possibly... I'm sure that no matter who the QBs on our team are come training camp (Clemens being the only guarantee), there will be a QB competition and the starter will have to earn their job. If Matt Ryan, or any other draft pick for that matter, comes in and blows away Clemens, then goodnight Kellen Clemens, good morning (insert drafted or late FA addition QB).

If we draft any position other than QB in the first round, you better believe they will play.

You can't pay a guy today's 1st round dollars and not play them.

    Look at history.

Whoever we draft in the 1st three rounds will start, even the QB( if he has an awesome camp ) Look at it this way, we have improved our OL and not by just getting sub-par proformers but probowlers. I don't believe this was for a RB. We will draft a QB. The writtings is on the wall.
