ESPN just saying that Roy Oswalt is or may be on the block and look for the Yankees to be very interested if Hughes, Kennedy and Mussina don't get their act together in a hurry. Not sure I would want another NL pitcher though.
Betemit's on the block, Pittsburgh interested. http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2008/04/molina_nearer_posada_unclear.html Maybe Betemit for Marte.
You'll never get him cheaper than right now. A no-trade clause, of course, but so does everyone these days, and I can't imagine that would be a major obstacle for a guy like Oswald.
It's like Moose can't help but throw an amazing meatball at least once a game, no matter how he's been pitching to that point.
whos this guy wearing #35 for the Yankees? I saw #35 pitching in the first inning, the fact that he's STILL pitching......is this a new guy?
Wow, props to Jorge for calling off Girardi to keep Moose in the game. This is actually starting to look like a team for the first time in years. I know Torre had his fans, and even people who aren't Yankees fans who thought he was great, but for the past few years, this was a band of mercenaries, not a team. Now you've got guys throwing at the opposition, catchers standing up for their pitchers, and guys just playing their roles. Awesome.
Of course, Posada was almost in a heap of trouble, since that ball was scorched. Fortunately, it was scorched right at someone. :breakdance: Nice outing by Moose. I think this is the pattern we'll see all year: He'll be in big trouble against very patient teams (like the Red Sox)... especially if he doesn't have perfect control. But he'll still be able to have solid outings against the more free-swinging teams.
 Yeah, well, it's already late April. We're a sixth of the way through already. --------------- Hawkins is crap.
Another example of why Joba needs to stay in the pen. This bullpen is garbage. Bruney has been decent, everyone else is awful.
