SI reports Jake Long and Miami agree to contract http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/don_banks/04/22/long.analysis/index.html?eref=T1 It's official! We're one step closer to Chris Long!!!!!! Vernon Gholston to the Rams, PLEASE GOD!!!!!
since we face the fins on opening day we might get a little more attention with jake long playing his first game.
PLEASE GOD, I want to see a Long-on-Long match-up Week One. And in response to the "No Way the Raiders pass on Howie's kid" poster, HOWIE LONG HATES AL DAVIS WITH A PASSION HOTTER THAN THE DEPTHS OF HELL, as most decent human beings/former Raiders do. There is serious, serious beef there. Then again, leave it to Al Davis to draft out of spite. Let me just say this. Now that pick one has played out, there is only ONE, JUST ONE SCENARIO that terrifies me: 1)Miami- Jake Long 2)St. Louis- Who Cares? 3)Atlanta- Who Cares? 4)Oakland- Who Cares? 5)via trade, New England- The Guy We Wanted 6)NY- Goddamn You, Bill Belichick
Dorsey has way more trade value than you anticipate. Denver, Cincinatti, New Orleans, and at least one more team I am forgetting, all need a top dt. there are only 2 in this draft, and Dorsey has solidified himself as at least a head above Ellis and Ellis is Heads and shoulders above the rest of the crop. So somebody would skyrocket up to #6 for Dorsey. I honestly think he may garner more interest than Mcfadden, Ryan, or Gholston. Ryan being the only one I see potentially garnering more interest
I'd rather see Oakland take either of Gholston or Long, with us taking the one left over. I'd hate to see NE* end up with one of those guys.
Things will only start getting more exciting tomorrow now. One down. There could be two or three more signings or trades by Saturday.
