    JETS DRAFT
    1. Darren McFadden RB
    2. Curtis Lofton ILB
    4. Jerome Simpson WR
    4. Curtis Johnson OLB/DE
    6. Justin Tyron CB
    7. Marcus Dixon DE

When I do these I know I'm not gonna call many picks in the mid rounds especially since that's near impossible, but I like to focus more on where in the draft the players will go and that's what I'll look back on... So read through and I'd very much appreciate comments, criticism etc... Thanks for the read.

I would be happy with that Jets draft, though I prefer Lavelle Hawkins (I'm surprised you didn't have him going in the first 4 rounds) or Bennett to Simpson. Also, I would hope that we would pick Aquib Talib in that spot in the 2nd...he and Revis would make a great combo. I can't see Lee, Branch, Flowers, or Porter going before him, let alone all of them. I do like Curtis Lofton a lot though, good fit for the 3-4. I also think Malcolm Kelly has too much talent to fall to the third.

    Nice job though, as usual.

I'd rather have Cliff Avril or Dre Moore than Lofton. I like Lofton, but I also like Jameel McClain in the later rounds...reminds me of Antwan Barnes...though nowhere near as athletic.

In round 4, it'd be sick of Molden fell to us. He's this years Eric Wright, a very talented and fluid corner that can and will be had late.

Simspon's been flying up boards, and I think we're more likely to grab Nelson, Monk, Hubbard, or even Arrington if we're lucky...

I like Dixon in the 7th. I wouldn't mind Pig Brown, Dennis Keyes, or Joe Fields with our 6th....

Pretty good mock for us, except you have some really good players falling pretty far. Just my opinion, but I think that:

-Brian Brohm goes first round after a team trades up to get him. If that doesn't happen then GB takes him at 30. He's too good of a prospect to fall to the second.
-Aqib Talib goes first round, maybe even the first or second corner taken. I know his stock was falling, but I think it's going back up now.
-Malcolm Kelly's stock is going down, but I think he's still a second rounder
-Ray Rice definitely goes second round. That kid is talented. If we don't get McFadden I wouldn't mind the jets taking him with the second, although I'd perfer a receiver with that pick or if he does fall to the third, I'd hope the jets would trade up with their forths and pick him.

Good mock. Personally, I'd be happy if we addressed all of those positions in the draft, not necessarily the players. Decent job though.

Brohm falling to the second is just a steal...but I don't think GB will take him at 30...they have Rogers and he looked pretty good when they let him play...

    Thanks for the feedback all...

In the draft every year, there are plenty of surprises that nobody would have guessed. Here, I have Lavelle Hawkins falling to the 5th due to speed issues and questionable hands.

I like Tyvon Branch to go much higher than some think because he has all the skills and tools to be a great CB.

I know Talib's drop looks surprising, but there are a handful of risks with drafting him that make him a boom or bust type in some ways...

Jerome Simpson could easily go higher, I agree. I'm hoping he sticks around, but there's plenty to love about that guy.

As for the Barnes/McClain comparison, doesn't Antwan Barnes play OLB and McClain ILB or am I mistaking?

I agree that Brohm could go 1st round, but someone would have to trade up and I couldn't predict that... My pick for that tradeup is Atlanta with their three 2nd round picks.

I can Malcolm Kelly falling big-time. That's one of my predictions, but we'll see.

Ray Rice could definately be a steal somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd...

Yea, the comp is that they're both fast, explosive, high motored, and short. McClain can rush as a DE in certain packages, he can rush standing up as an OLB, or he can play ILB.

He's become one of my favorite sleepers.

Rogers has an injury bug though hes been hurt a few times already in his limited role and they will need a backup to him they have no one or at least no one worth remembering

I'd like Eddie Royal in the 4th over Simpson but I'd sign up for that draft in a heartbeat.

Eddie Royal will end up as a starter in the NFL IMO. He has some similarities to Steve Smith and he's certainly a large-school sleeper.

But he'll be long gone by the 4th round. I am predicting middle 2nd for him.

Very good mock, and I'd be happy with Jets picks.
I hope Langford DE, or Molden CB fall to us in 4th. Also like Goff in 4th if we were able to get Hardy in 2nd.

I would have told you before I made it that he's a mid 2nd to early 3rd round pick, but that's just the way the draft fell.
