Iheard he got a new kidney and that this concerns a lot of Scouts and GMs. Anyone knows something? Is this just a rumour/smokescreen?

I knew he only had one functioning kidney but when did he get a new one? Would have had to have been in the last week or two,

Why would he make this up, and form a smoke-screen over himself? It's true, but someone will still take him way too high.

What's true? That he had it replaced recently or that he only has one functioning kidney? Everybody is well aware of the latter.

He only has one kidney. As long as he doesn't take that many shots to the lower back, he should be fine...but it is a concern.

Not a new kidney, he just has one, and it's zero concern. He's no more likely to be injured because of it than someone with two kidneys.

...not really? Getting injured isn't a concern, but player's with two kidneys don't have to worry about kidney failure as much as DRC. If he gets in a car accident, or even takes a freak hit on his lower back, he could need a transplant.

I know you love him, but his medical status is a concern.

    It's all a big IF...

If any player's kidney fails I'd say that it'd be quite a gigantic concern. DRC might need a transplant, but even a player with two working kidneys who has one fails may never play again, so it's really no different than having two. And the term freak hit really takes on a new level of "freak" considering it'd probably be one in a million that such a hit on a player with one kidney would ever happen.

You can live easily with one kidney. Sure, he's in more trouble if his one kidney fails but the failure rate of his one kidney is not that much higher than that of someone with two normal kidneys.

I'd only be concerned if his one kidney is a horseshoe kidney- now that's a serious issue that would preclude him from playing football, so I doubt its the case.
