lions site The Detroit Lions will host the Green Bay Packers in their home opener in Week 2 of the 2008 regular season, the team announced Tuesday. If that game is on a Sunday, it will be Sept. 14.
Yeah, that definately seems to be the case....I think at 2:00 you can go to the Jets web site and follow the schedule as it's released one game at a time....
ok so when is the full official schedule up? Also would anyone be surprised if it's Jets vs. Pats in foxbourgh on opening day? The NFL would be out to continue the "revenge of the Spygate" theme it had going the second game vs. the Pats. and the NFL as a whole really seems to love this Mangini vs. Belicheck thing that the media plays up like no tomorrow in the weeks leading up to the game.
Vikings scheduling news A few details about the Vikings' 2008 schedule have started to emerge. We've learned the Vikings will play at New Orleans in a Monday night game on Oct. 6 on ESPN. That will be the Vikings' second Monday night game in 2008 and no doubt is a result of Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson's presence on the roster. It was previously announced the Vikings will open the season with a Monday night game on Sept. 8 at Green Bay. It won't be surprising if the Vikings also end up with at least one Sunday night game on NBC. On one hand. . .I am so totally going to this game. On the other hand. . .with it being a Monday night, it makes it a bit tough to have any sort of get together for any readers that might be in the New Orleans area and also attending the game. But I'm still totally going, with or without you. (-: Got about an hour and 45 minutes until the schedule is formally announced. . .and as soon as it's available, it will be right here at The Daily Norseman! Update [2008-4-15 13:24:12 by Gonzo]: The Vikings' home date with the Chicago Bears is tenatively scheduled for Sunday night, 30 November, in Minneapolis. I say "tenatively" because that's a game that could potentially become the victim of the "flex" scheduling by the NFL.
