1-Mia- J. Long 2-STL-Dorsey 3-ATL-Ryan 4-OAK-Gholston 5-KC-Clady 6-Jets-C.Long I never thought it would fall this way. If the Rams,as expected, take Dorsey the Falcons choices are limited. They don't want Long they have Abraham ans Jamaal Anderson. They don't need McFadden, they have Turner. They could possibly take Ellis but Ryan makes the most sense. Obviously Al Davis is the wild card. We know he likes speed but he needs an DE. Burgess is in the last year of his contract.I think Gholston is his guy. The Chiefs could take Ellis, he has the greatest value, but no team needs OL more than KC. I think Clady has alot of upside. The Jets get the perfect Mangini player. I think they play him at numerous positions including ILB. The 2008 defense is top five in the league.
when you have chris long, it doesn't matter what the Pats get this year. Would you rather have him be the answer to their aging LB corps or let them take a boom or bust RB? I'll take the latter.
No, it's the jets section and as I'm sure you can see the post talks about who the jets will get at 6.
I'm more worried that NE would trade with KC in that scenario to take Long away from us. After all, they'd probably still be able to get Clady at a reduced cost and pick up, say, a late 3rd from NE. We may end up having to give them our 4th (or even both 4ths) to trade places with KC and take Long. But that wouldn't be a bad thing since he's a perfect fit for 3-4 OLB (he'll probably start out on the inside, though).
jets n boys you can go right ahead and relax. maybe he should post in both forums or in all the forums or maybe right on your forehead. and that is an interesting spin, i would definitely be scared of the pats and kc making a deal there. and really dont want to give up picks this year. but then again if he is the guy, the only real cant miss guy in the draft then it just might make sense.
I think we'd catch wind of that and start a bidding war, one we'd want to win too to "close the gap." Chris Long is someone who i'd want to go get, he is going to be a force for 15 years. He is what a football player should be.
chris Long would answer alot of problems along our defensive front. He could provide a solid pash rush from an outside lb position or play a strong de in the 3-4. He could really be the centerpiece of our defense, like Merriman for the Chargers.
I can't help but think it comes down to Oakland and the Jets and McFadden and Gholston. Whichever of those two Oakland doesn't take the Jets will. I don't think Davis much cares which one he takes but the Jets might have more of a preference. That is why I still think the Jets could trade into the #4 spot before draft day. If they did and C Long somehow fell to them it would be a miracle.
i cant imagine how a dl or a lb is going to help us put points on the board. i don't mind having an offense that puts up 40 pts and gives up 35. i believe chad is our franchise player and iam looking for fresh legs and a player we can build our offense around, not defense.
If we put up 40 points in ONE game with our confused O i will be happy. Besides, Chris Long is a once-in-a-lifetime player.
It will be a lot easier for our "confused O" to score 40 points with Darren McFadden. A lot of people are saying that McFadden is a once-in-a-lifetime player. The same thing was said about Mario Williams, Calvin Johnson, and Reggie Bush. EVERY year, there's a "once-in-a-lifetime" player. Chris Long is one of my favorite players in this draft, mainly because of his style of play and motor...but he's not going to be a Jet unless we give up a lot of move up. McFadden, Gholston, and maybe even Ryan are REALISTIC options for this team.
To score? Are you serious? Rhodes is probably the best player on the team, and he signed an extension so he can stick around until he's 30. Revis looks like he'll be a hell of a corner in this league. These two guys are the Jets' secondary. They just need some help at their opposite positions.
i hate comments like this, do u troll theganggreen looking for errors, spelling corrections e.c.t? read the post it obviously talks about the jets
