I think you have mentioned the Yankees 26 championships more than any Yankee fan here. What does that tell you? You also mention your 1 division championship in the last 10 years like it is suppose to be something special? Why?
Um, because that was the first thing thrown at me and is the typical cry baby response from you guys :up: "Talk to me when you repeat that 19 more times, k?" I bring up the Division Championship because the Red Sox are the DEFENDING champions. So, yes, that is something special.
I guess I didn't get the connection between 26 19 and 1. I still don't but oh well. Defending the division is meaningless. The Yankees did it 9 years in a row before you finally won one. Defending the WS does mean something and I would agree with tooting my horn over that.
Yankees have a total of 26 world Championships the Sox have 7. There's the 19 difference. Anyway, for me this is all in fun. I love Yankees/Red Sox week
I didn't say the Yankees were superior to the Red Sox. In 2007, they clearly weren't. (However, it's not 2007 anymore, so if we're not going to count past victories, the Sox are even with the Yankees once again. Literally.) But again, I didn't say the Yankees were superior to the Red Sox. Again, October was last year, and therefore the past. So if we're not counting past victories anymore, the Sox are no better than the Yankees. Ho-hum, and before that, it was all about the collapse. In the end, it's all about inferiority. I understand it. It's okay. Of course it is. It's the greatest rivalry in sports.
You've mentioned the Yankees and/or their fans and "what they think" in every single post in this thread, I think. If you're enjoying them on their own merit, you certainly aren't acting like it in here.
