yeah today is pathetic. Two picks using their full alloted time or no showing is lame. Let's keep it up, we were averaging half a draft per day. On another topic. What is everyone's thoughts on the Burton pick? If it were mine, I would be comfortable but since Ipicked for someone else I wanted to see what the consensus was.
So, I grabbed Ezra Butler for the Packers. Essentially I was torn between a few positions and but ultimately I decided that depth was needed at the OLB position. Butler can come in as a situational pass rusher (again, trying to build that pass rush) and to step in in case someone gets hurt. Which, behind AJ Hawk and Brady Poppinga (and Nick Barnett for that fact), there isn't much of any depth. I have one pick left in this draft for the Packers in the 5th Round and I plan to use it wisely, but by the 5th there wouldn't be much availability for top pass rushers/OLBs.
I wanted Butler badly for the Rams, Missed out by 2 picks. I went with Woodyard, a little small, but man this kid is productive and may surprise. I like him in the Ram's system, and shoud excel on special teams.
Thought I made a couple solid picks this late in the draft for the Chiefs. DJ Hall has alot of ability and if he could stay away from trouble might wind up being a player. Between him and Andre Caldwell earlier in the draft their receiving core has been upgraded. Their line is still a mess which is why I went with Sullivan out of Notre Dame. That's the 3rd pick spent on offensive line and probably more to come. All three of them could wind up starting by the end of the year.
Very happy to land K Brown at that spot with CHI. One of the guys I considered in round 4 and I think he is a very good project to take upon and could pan out well for the Bears.
That's a terrific value for the Bills for sure, but isn't 4th-round pick from Stanford in 2007 Dwayne Wright the 2nd back to Marshawn Lynch?
I just got in a few moments ago. I have to survey who was picked this afternoon and night. I hope to have my pick in by 9:45 the latest.
I was EXTREMELY pleased to grab Jack Williams there with the 146th pick. ESPN has him as the 84th ranked player overall and says in its scouting report: He had 93 tackles last year to go with 3 INTs & 8 pass deflections. It gives the Saints a solid group of corners now with Gay, McKenzie, his former teammate Usama Young, David, Craft, and the recently signed Aaron Glenn.
Antwaun Molden was taken already(#132), PMed Hasty to adjust pick. GMs continue to pick if you're OTC, assumption is the Browns clock expired and they can pick at any time.
