The mets offense is so bad they can't do a thing against a "major league pitcher" that struggles breaking 80 mph.

I had to repeat it thats how bad our offense has become.

Barroid would have reversed that equation.

Maybe it's not too late. If only he had a hispanic surname......*sigh*

Moyer doesn't deserve to be on a major league roster, 2 runs is 2 runs and against garbage there is no excuse.

Willie's a bad manager. There's alot of them around. Some of them even win World Series. Is it Willie's fault that the 3rd best hitter in his lineup is 45 and not likely to play many more games then that this season? Is it Willie's fault that they signed a no hit 2nd baseman that can't field anymore either and may not even be able to walk by the end of his current contract? Is it Willie's fault they traded for a completely awful catcher? Is it Willie's fault that Show and Sosa are still in the bullpen? Did Willie build a fragile "win now" team of older players without suitable backups? Did Willie decide to keep himself on after the disgrace of last year?

We all let ourselves get blinded by the Santana trade and forget how terrible the offseason had been up until that point, and that not only were there no improvements made to other areas of the roster but in some cases there were downgrades.

the question is whether Wilpon is blinded by Omar's big signings to not realize how awful a job he has done putting the rest of the team together.

Yeah seriously. I really can't take Willie and Omar anymore.

    Omar can't draft.

Willie can't manage. Not to mention his need for washed up veterans over 25-year old players is killing this team both financially and physically.

Please get rid of these two chokers.

reyes needs to get going he is our spark plug, we need him to get on base, but yes this team might need to get younger sooner rather than later

I think Willie's hate for Milledge had a little something to do with that trade. But for the jist of your argument you are right, We have a good and could be great but paper thin rotation along with an mediocre offense and a bad bullpen. That doesn't add to much.

best part about yesterday was that it kept my opening day streak alive at 7 years in a row.
