Fuckin snake , Sides with the enemy... Good luck licking Bellicheats balls on the bench next season Hobo.
To small???? He is a perfect fit for a 3-4 LB that never got to play here... he's a Role player and will excell at his role in the Patriots Defense... people need to stop being so closed minded.
Why is this a big deal?? We hate what he did for us last year and now that he's gone to the Pats we are upset? So if he went to the Seahawks no one would care? He is garbage and will be a backup to Vrabel and Thomas at OLB, if they move him inside he won't do anything either. He's a JAG, stop worrying about it. Know that we can fill that hole with a better player.
Close minded? HA! He's 6-0, and way to slow to shed blocks. Hobson was ran over last season at OLB, I'd love to see him inside. He is going to be used as a 6th or 7th LB that the Pats rotate in. I would not be surprised if they cut him before the season started. And dont tell me about being close minded, I watched Victor Hobson suck the last 2 years in the 3-4, he was down right horrible. No excuses! Are all other 30 GMs too closed minded to even take a look at this guy? He's lasted 5 weeks on the free agent market for a reason.
Vilma won rookie of the year and was a beast. Hobson had 6 sacks and 100 tackles a year ago. It's just amazing to me how many fans on this site act like they were cancers. The fact that the CS was forcing them to play in positions not suited for them is not their fault. Both Very Good players who will excel now that they will be utilized correctly. I'm Sure Belly will show Mangina how it's done.
The NYJ CS didn't think he was as good as Barton for ILB, so Hobson was expendable. I think that Hobson was a step or two slower than Barton, but Hobson is smart and well-disciplined. Since we are upgrading the LBs, this is an understandable and inevitable move. We have to be prepared for his "brain drain" by our Great Satan enemy, and live with it.
Pats fans don't like it when someone comes to the Jets because they fear the brain drain. But it's already happened completely, so why worry. You don't think Bellichick and Mangini know all about each other? The reason why our games against the Pats are always interesting is because they are both working to hard to outthink each other.
5 weeks on the FA market.... ooooohhhh god he must suck so bad... come on now... He's 6ft... so... he's a good LB with the right personell around him, downplay it all you like... he's been productive while on the field. Run over... it happens to the best of em, but our entire front 7 sucked last year, so I'm sure it was more than him on his back. Nothing like watching vilma suck last year too... But that wasn't his fault, I know... Fact is, His opportunity to play on the inside disapeared when we drafted Harris... he was never going to be playing much outside with our lack of pass rush from ANYONE on defense the last 2 years, so he found himself sliding down the depth chart. If you have ever played football, you'd know this, when coaching changes happen, and shifts in philosophy take place, players loose playing time while trying to find a niche'... they either do, or the find a new place to play and get remotivated...it happens. So now he'll go to the Patriots, and the change will do him well, and he will have an impact. Say what you like... he will make the roster there, and he'll make an impact Yes.. Closed minded...
Haha, gotta say "told you so" back in the Hobson not signed yet thread. Was there ever any doubt that he would end up with the pats if not resigned. Also, I think we talked about it before, but he was in Mangini's doghouse and while I would not have minded bringing him back for depth at vet min., I don't think the coach wanted him on the team. While teams keep things quiet, there definitely wasn't a winning attitude around here last year. SOME of the players had to have a loser attitude and its up to the coach to root them out...he may have been one of them.
I said it a million times he could start at ILB in a 3-4. Pats will prob shift him to ILB and he'll actually make plays, salt in our wounds.
