I know I posted this in another thread but I thought this was interesting...atleast to me.

What do you guys think of bringing Culpepper to the team and throw a trio into the competition?

I still think Cupepper is a very good QB if he's healthy. How bad is his knee? I think his knee is'nt totally blown out and that he'll comeback strong in a yr or two...any opinions?

I won't give you too much shit because the guy used to be a good QB, but those days are over.

No, I don't want him on the roster.

IMO, if we're gonna add a 3rd QB,i'd much rather it be somebody we could develope for future consideration. either for as a starer, valued back up, or trade bait.
i think there is a lot to be said for walsh's theory that you should draft a young QB every year for developmental purposes.

How about putting a 4th QB in there, name Brett?

Don't you think there is a reason he hasn't been signed by anyone?

he still has more skill than chad ever did or ever will.

you will hear things like over the hill, bad knees, poor attitude, locker room cancer.

in reality they dont want him due to what i perceive as racism, he isnt a cream of the crop all american boy so he is garbage just like so many other great players. remember randy moss was vilified on this board for being a cancer and over the hill who was heading down hill blah blah blah and all that stuff.

if they arent of the highest character they are a cancer, its just the way this site goes.

QB with a bum shoulder, and now a QB with a bum knee? What else do we need, a QB with a bum head?

So since the players aren't of the highest character (something widely known throughout the league for someone like Moss), the kind of person alot of teams just didn't want in their locker room, it makes all of the teams who passed on him racist?

I can't see how other teams and the Jets passing on someone like Daunte who is so beyond his prime can be considered remotely racist. Maybe they just don't want to throw a good amount of money towards a player with such a diminished skillset.

I did mention that IF he's healthy, he'll be good. He has a bad knee but he's not a RB. I think he has enough knee left in him to drop back 7yds and throw the 'bombs' that we want CP to do.

no no you are missing my point entirely, this message board wreaks of racism nowadays in my eyes.

its pretty obvious with the rules that have been setup for hiring head coaches and gms that the nfl has some issues with racism as well but they are not what im referring to in my post.

since most dont read the posts that are already posted and just put their opinion up based on the first and last post i am sure that many will come in here and say all of the things i said they would.

its either that, and maybe just maybe i am only seeing it when we are dealing with black players or they just dont want anything to do with anyone because everyone has some sort of issue on or off the field.

Its not about color its about winning. If daunte wasnt broken down he would get a job.

I do not think that we would even be having a discussion regarding Chad if he were not the prototypical All-American Boy. He would have been run out of town the first time he hurt his shoulder and there is no way in h**l he would be defended after last years disaster. With that said I don't think Culpepper is the long term solution either because he like Chad benefited from having Randy Moss to throw too. At the end of the day if either of the two are under center we will still have one big Qb mess come Sept!

Yeah but Chad's "cerebral," remember? Not every team has a cerebral QB- in fact, we're the envy of the league.
