Tui is still on the roster as an unrestricted FA. If they wanted him they probably would have already signed him. My guess is that this won't shake out until after the draft. It may have also been Mangini's way of cloaking the fact we plan to use one of our picks to draft a QB.

(now that I re-read it, that is exactly what Mangini said. It depends on what happens in the draft)

Poteat, Hobson, Clement are all still FAs. I wouldn?t mind taking all 4 of them back for the right price. I really hope we resign poteat, he?s better than many think.

I posted that in the Pennington cut thread. I think they'll draft a guy.

Mangini had had a very good look at Henne. Maybe he just likes QBs called Chad

I think Atlanta will take Flacco if we don't jump over them. That may leave us with only Pennington and Clemens and the need for a third which will probably come from FA. I don't see us drafting any other QB this year unless Ryan possibly falls to 6. I still don't really see that even if he does.

I thought we re-signed Poteat a while back ago a little while after FA kicked off? I'd consider bringing back Hobson for the right price. I'd pass on Clement. Hopefully the Jets will look to draft a RT to start developing for Woody in the future.

Remember when you thought Marques Tuiasosucko was going to beat out Kellen Clemens?

I checked the FA-Tracker on NFL.com lately, they still have him listed as a FA. If that list is correct, he?s not with the Jets right now.

We don?t have any depth at OL, with Clement, Wade Smith and Clarke cut, that leaves us with Bender, Montgomery and a bunch of guys who most jetsfans don?t even know that they?re on the roster. For the right price, Clement would be a good Backup. In 2006 i thought he played better than Moore.

While I think Flacco may jump into the first round, it would be the height of stupidity to take a guy from Delaware top 5. For all his physical skills, this is a guy who felt in his head that he'd have no shot of supplanting a much less gifted Tyler Palko at Pitt. Moreover, the Delaware offense is a far cry from anything he'll run in the pros. I think the dearth of talent at the position this year will lead teams to shrink from taking QB's, rather than reach for them.

IF he was given a fair chance, and wasn't the Mangini regime second round pick , than he just might have beat him out. Also If Jets pick a QB in the second round, than K Clemens is a Bust? Right. That was your point. Jets FO must not be as high on Clemens as they, and Jaworski were once.

BTW Why do you have to bring up the Raiders in everyone of my post.

He had the best results in the combine and is considered to have the strongest arm of any QB in the draft. For all those GMs that thrive on the combine he will be a no brainer. He also has the size to play at the NFL level. What he lacks is experience and coaching. Nobody would draft him to become the starter this year.

I don't know what kind of math they are teaching you kids in school these days. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
