Yeah there were 2 other spots I thought of but I think I can supply those 2 in later rounds, but yeah a bit more work to do in the middle of that D.

Slaton will I think work in that offense Shannhan runs. Everydown back is a different story but he could be like Leon Washington somewhat.

Liked the Greco pick, someone I looked at for CHI in the 4th. Douglas is what SEA can use as well.

Quintin Demps I think could wind up being a solid player for the Cowboys. He's more of a true free safety with good ball skills and might be able to compliment Roy Williams who should play more in the box. If nothing else in the 4th round he'd be a good ST'er.

DAMN YOU KURTHEJETFAN!!! I wanted Thompson from WF as my first fourth rounder and you stole him! Gah! Good pick up.

  10. I couldnt believe he was still there! And he fills a big need for Indy in case anything happens to Freeney again or Mathis.

Blew that one. I thought Steltz was taken and would've taken him over Demps had I known. 4th round is a crapshoot anyway but still.

I think you made the right pick anyway, cooler

I like Steltz and that was a good pick after Demps, but I would have taken Demps ahead of Steltz

It was a deadlock between the two for me. They are both completely different players though...but in my safety rankings, they were side by side.

Demps has all of the tools to be a good cover FREE safety, while Steltz can be a big hitting STRONG safety.

Steltz fits in with the Eagles more than Demps would've though...because Brian Dawkins is a lock at FS in Philly. The Eagles don't have a clear cut starter at SS though.

It really depends on what system both of these guys end up in. Both have the abilities to start and be successful in the NFL.

Since it was the weekend, I wasn't able to post some explanations for my recent picks.

    Jets:
4a: Thomas Zbikowski, DB, Notre Dame: Abram Elam isn't the answer at FS. Zbikowski may not be either but he'd definately be an improvement. I don't know if he's an ideal Safety in terms of size but he can transfer over to corner back possibly if thats a better fit. He's also a good return guy. We all know he's a powerful hitter, good at stuffing the run and has great instincts. These are all qualities we've been lacking in our secondary.

4b: Tashard Choice, RB, Georgia Tech: I may get some flack for this pick, but I like it. With my 2nd fourth round pick, I opted for Choice. In the first round I missed on McFadden but still got Gholston (which was great) and got Hardy in Round 2 to bolster the WR corps. Choice will provide the necessary help in the running game. What if Jones just can't play in NY no matter how good the offensive line is? What if Washington is a scatback/situational player at best? There needs to be more options and Jesse Chatman isn't the long term solution. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Choice could be our feature back, but he can definately add another option to our offense. He's a 5'10, 210/215 lbs running back that can add some more bruising to our running game.

    Packers:
4a: Duane Brown, OT, Virginia Tech: The Packers are getting old on their bookends quickly and need someone big who can step in and learn. At this point, Brown isn't an instant starter, but thankfully he doesn't have to be. My goal is to add some youth and to get a developmental prospect who can step in to play as a backup or in two-three years as a full time starter.

4b:Andre Fluellen, DT, Florida State: The Packers lost Williams to the Browns and that left a bit of a gap in the DT spot. They have Justin Harrell and Pickett who will likely be their two starters but behind them, there isn't much depth to speak of. We all saw how a serious pass rush helped lead the Giants to greatness, Fluellen can add to that the defensive line. He'll likely not be a starter but definately a situational player.

    Discussion welcomed.

There is nothing more torturous than sitting at work, bored, waiting for your pick when its NEXT! GAH!

Update: We're under an hour away (4:16 p.m.) and I'd appreciate someone not within the next five picks to please jump in and post the pick. This is the part of the draft where things become highly aggravating.
