Tracy Porter? Thought hard about taking him and think Phins got great value. I wouldn't be upset if the Jets got him in round 2.

Yeah it was him, and I also considered Patrick Lee. I agree, great value.

Not sure who the Cowboys GM is, is it Mr. Electric? Whoever it is, you're up.

Henne looks like Big Ben in that pick.

    Chad Henne Explanation

Ok, so my logic behind the Henne pick is this:

The Packers have several obvious weaknesses despite being an NFC Runner Up. I've addressed two of those concerns with Reggie Smith at CB/S and John Carlson at TE. Smith should help inject some youth into their secondary and help with their pass protection and Carlson should help create more lanes for their new star running back and to help stretch the field with Donald Lee now that Bubba Frank is a Jet.

So, why Chad Henne? It boils down to this:

Aaron Rodgers is an unproven backup who was drafted specifically to replace Brett Farve. He could be the next Steve Young, taking over for Montana, or he could be a total bust. Either way, we don't know. By taking Henne, a QB in the second round, it sends a clear message to Rodgers, 'Perform, or you're out.' It also provides a serious backup to Rodgers in the case that he goes down with injury; something not out of the realm of possibility. If, by chance, Rodgers pans out as the next great Green Bay QB, stays injury free and Henne serves as a backup it creates a great bargaining chip for the Packers.

If in three years Henne is still a backup, with say 2 or 3 years left on his rookie contract, he'd make great trade bait to a team in need of a QB who has learned behind Brett Farve's understudy. I normally don't like drafting people high in the draft who can't walk in and be the starter, but this is a case where he could conceivably start if Rodgers is a bust.

Yes the Packers have other needs worth addressing but he fills a need (though not glaring), and had perfect value for the end of the second round. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Warhound7............I agree to a certain exent. If the Packer's are thinking in this direction, so should the Jets. Clemens is unproven like Rodgers and Penny isn't the answer.....so should the Jet's should consider a QB also?? Your Thoughts!!

The Cowboys had 3 needs coming into the draft I felt. WR, RB and CB. The first two were addressed with Limas Sweed and Felix Jones. Even if they acquire Pacman they still have very little depth in the defensive backfield. There was a run on corners and Godfrey I still graded out to where I took him. He's a physical player that can play CB or FS.

Great Pick.....I had Godfrey graded high than a couple of earlier drafted CBs.

I'm thrilled to get Avril in late Rd 2. Maybe a player the Jets' look at in 3 weeks. I believe he had a visit at Hofstra. Avril would be a good fit for the Pats. Rosey is gone and they need a Outside Rusher off the edge.

I can see the Bears make one hell of a steal with their 3rd round pick. I was thinking about the guy, even thou it?s one of the few positions, where the Dolphins are set need. Or do i overrate him big time?

I think your thinking like I am.....Only 1 team left that can ruin it though, but if I can land this guy....Bears fans will most defintely be excited.

If I dont, I got a backup plan. Bears should be set :D

Thank you San Fran for tampering :)

The Chefs needed another WR so the best one I had available was Caldwell. He's a great blocker adn while NFL.com compares him to Hines Ward he reminds me a little bit of Cotchery. Good value for the 3rd round and would probably wind up starting oppossite Bowe if this scenario worked out.

I almost took Collins with either of my picks for the Cowboys or the Chiefs. Any time you can get a potential left tackle this late in the draft it's a good move. If that's how things worked out for the Falcons they'd rebuild quickly.

Nice Picks...Jabba. You should love being the Falcons GM, I believe they have like 11 picks.

I'm very happy with my Patriot picks:

    Dominic Rodgers-Cromartie CB
    Cliff Avril, DE/OLB
    Matt Forte' RB/FB
