a weak fly ball with the bases loaded is "nice hitting" by pagan? give me a break keith. at least the terrible hitters are up there hacking at the first pitch from a guy that can't throw a strike.
Yea it wasn't flashy or AL-like, but better then the typical Met (in your eyes) who would ground into a double play to end the inning. Pagan's had a good two games so far.
Pedro was done when the Red Sox cast him aside after abusing him, as far as I'm concerned. I was against that signing, but people have argued that we wouldn't have been able to get other players if not for Pedro.
He still sucks. I can't believe how many people get blinded by spring training numbers of all things, especially ones that are completely dependant on an unsustainable BABIP.
For comical relief: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/nym A. Heilman #48, Relief Pitcher Leads team with 0 Home Runs
We could not have had the turnaround we did without him. He was a top 3 pitcher in the NL his first year here so he definitely wasn't done when Boston got rid of him. He had just as good of getting into injury problems as any other pitcher his age. Pitchers get hurt. It's proven fact. You're just pissed that he had to just walk off the field, and trust me we all are.
if not for the clown that is Braden Looper and our shotty bullpen, Pedro wins 19-20 games his 1st year here
It's not like he's doing so terrible in his first couple of games. I agree with you, that his spring performence was overvalued, but he's definitely doing ok so far. The jury is still out.
