Are to admitting to being an idiot? The "out of school" excuse can't work here. I don't think anyone on this board took any classes that had to do with football in school. You're draft was garbage, and you're football knowledge and jokes are even worse.
Yawwwn. Go ask your parents for some more rent money, while you waste time here instead of cracking the books. Don't you have a paper to write?
TF are you so angry about lately? And the draft wasn't garbage, I'd love to come out with that draft. You didn't even know who Nelson was, just saw that he was compared to Cotch and assumed the rest.
(I was defending YOU by the way...) Are you serious? We don't have a 3rd rounder DWare, and if we did, we'd need to spend on a more pressing need. I believe our FO will take a much better wideout in the 2nd. I do know who Jordy Nelson, I watched him catch 15 balls for 165 and a TD on my Bulldogs. He's an All-American. He can't be compared to Cotchery. Their only similiarity is that they are both possession receivers. We need a speed guy, or a BIG guy on this team. That's what we are lacking. The draft IS garbage. Johnny4 stated that he didn't know if Rodgers-Cromartie would become a solid corner, but he could work out as a nickel. Why would we spend a first rounder on a nickelback? Dre Moore is a solid pick in Round 2. We don't have a 3rd rounder, so Nelson is virtually impossible to get. Zuttah will definitely be gone by the 4th round. He picks another smallish wideout. Why would be pick that Chansi Stuckey clone...because he had a big game against Michigan? J Leman is a solid pick...and I know scouts are saying that he'll fall, but with the guy's a bigtime football player. Someone will take a chance on him earlier than the 6th round...and then J4 admitted to only picking Pig Brown because he had a funny name. This draft is a joke. You pissed your pants earlier when I told that guy not to question me...the same goes for you. I know what I'm talking about. I don't care if you disagree with what I have to say, but don't try to tell me that I don't know my shit.
Do you not get that a Mock Draft is a hypothetical situation? Its best case scenario. The 3rd is by trade down( and actually taking less than the trade chart asks). Zuttah has a bit of a question because he was unable to workout at his pro day and wasn't rated that high prior to the combine. The only Joke was Pig Brown, Zero sense of humor, this is not life and death.
MrElectric: If you read his entire post, you'll see it assumes a trade in which we would acquire a 3rd round pick...
I know there is some sort of trade going on in this, but Johnny4 didn't explain it at all, and he doubts Rodgers-Cromartie's ability to be a bigtime corner RIGHT AWAY, making his entire MOCK draft terrible in my opinion. There should be NO doubt with any of the picks...even if it's a mock.
Not that you mean to put words in my mouth, but 2 separate times I clarified this by saying I thought his height helps his versatility, especially in the Mangini D where you never know who is covering who. If I doubted him, I wouldn't have taken him over McElvin (I don't know how to take the new kidney info about DRC, might even them out more, but maybe dropping that extra weight got him to the 4.29) Everyone else got the trade, work on the reading comprehension.
O.K. this is my first try at one of these. So here goes.... I want to trade down and our most likely trade partners are the Bengals and Saints. They only might want to move up a few spots and both would probably want to grab Ellis. In exchange we get back a 3rd rounder. Getting a 3rd rounder looks key for use because we could use it on a receiver. Here are the picks. 1-D.R. Cromartie- If he's not a great corner, he'll be a great nickel or safety. He's 6'1 and will get his hands on some balls. 2-Dre Moore- probably not a Mangini guy, but the 3-4 dt-de we need. 3-Jordy Nelson-wr- I love this kid. Reminds me of Cotchery and a former safety. 4-Jeremy Zuttah- Might not stil be around, but gives us depth at OG. Best available OL if he's there 4-Dexter Jackson-wr- slot reciever we need. Might have to take a look sooner. 5- Kellen Davis- Might slide here, but is a football player(whoops, I thought we had a 5th Its o.k Davis will be gone by the 4th)) 6 -j Leman- ILB- Another FB player type, reminds me of Schlegel but at #6 worth a shot. 7- Pig Brown- s- we need a safety and he has a cool name. I was going to make some changes, but I think this has become pretty accurate as to what the Jets would like to do. I might switch Leodis with DRC in the next version and possibly Red Bryant with Dre Moore. One funny thing is that Jordy Nelson, who I would draft with the 3rd rounder if we could get one, has actually moved into the 2nd round on some mock drafts.
