"FEUD's" aren't that big of a deal. This isn't reality TV or a damn soap opera, it's football. Houshmanzadeh is holding out too. No one is complaining about him, because he isn't a show-off like Chad Johnson. This is the Terrell Owens effect. The media blows everything out of proportion. If they don't have a good relationship off the field, oh well. They both want to win. The problems they have towards eachother, aren't the reason why Cincinnati went 7-9 this season. The passing game was solid...because of Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson. Houshamanilly helped out a lot too. Who gives damn if he attacked on of his coaches at halftime? That coach could've said something to him. Ocho Cinco is probably one of the more passionate players in the game. He just wants to help his team ON the field...and win. Winning is all that matters in this league. Not personal relationships... The Bengals are bad because they have no running game, and they can't control the clock. Sure, they can score through the air...but their defense is so bad, that their opponents can score right back. The feud has nothing to do with it. They just aren't a well-rounded team. They have a bunch of skill players, an aging offensive line that's getting older and older every minute, and a bunch of no names on their defense. Chad Johnson will probably get his wish, and he'll be traded somewhere else. I'd want off of that team to.
I am a Bengals season ticket holder and have watched Chad play since he got drafted.He is a great player but it seems alot of times its all about him.I saw where one person said he gets hurt alot Chad has missed very few games due to injury and yes he did drop a few balls this season but that does not happen very often.I think the main problem with the Bengals is their defense.I don't see him being traded because it will be a huge cap hit and they can't afford that.If the Jets did trade and get Chad it may good for him to get a fresh start.But I also think him having Drew Rosenhaus for his agent also hurts him.Also I was there when the Jets played the Bengals this past year the bengals won but honestly the Jets out played them.I saw Pennington throw 1 deep pass and it was for a touchdown I was wondering does he not throw many deep passes?
Pennington CAN'T throw deep passes, that's why the offensive coordinator has a limit on going to deep when Penny is behind center. He seems very accurate when he goes deep...but it's only because he very rarely is given the chance to go downfield.
This is an easy one. Do you think Keyshawn was a locker room distraction, this guy will be a Media Problem from day one!
Keyshawn was great receiver when he was here...I don't care if he was a distraction in the locker room. Just give him the damn ball.
So I know this may be a dead issue, but i just thought I'd throw it out there for discussion, personally I don't think it would be worth it to give up much for him. But if the Bengals were trying to move Chad before draft day, now that he stated he wont play for them next year, and the price is low? What do you think? I almost feel bad for posting this because I know the backlash I'm going to get. I know he's not a team player but maybe in a new organization he would be fine. TO hasn't been much of a problem in Dallas, besides with holding onto the ball that is :rofl:
I think CJ's attitude outweighs his talent....therefore I wouldn't want to bring his "locker room cancer" to the Jets.
They would want a 1st round pick for him, that's why. He is probably worth it on talent alone but because of the baggage nobody will give one up and Cincinnati will just wait him out.
If we can get him for nothing I would take him. He would improve our offense and make us a real threat in the AFC
We do own the 6.... Now if we could get DMC at 6, and trade down with the 'Boys....Ocho Cinco, Groves, and Flacco with the 2nd rd would be a nice day one...
yeah, and maybe if we had a quarterback who could throw the ball effectively to the caliber of reciever cj is i might be a little excited if we tried to get him.
Or maybe if we had a dominant number one receiver who would go up and get the ball in traffic and constantly demand double coverage, like CJ, a young QB with a great arm like Kellen's would be able to thrive. Not to mention the drastic OL improvement over last season which is almost guaranteed to boost his performance.
<<Sigh>> Okay. I honestly think the only place this guy would thrive is in a city big enough to match his ego. NY would be good for him. I think our media would keep him in check. We do need a big time receiver, and he wants out of Cin City. Maybe we can get him for cheap.
Johnson is a great player no doubts, I've always thought he was a bit of loose cannon but that "hall of fame Jacket stunt" brought it home to me that the guy is another T.O, no class and a sure fire problem maker in the locker room.
uhm, actually you have it completely backwards. if he can make it in NY he can make it anywhere, not the other way around.
